I am not sure where all the five-star reviews come from. My son is an accelerated HSC Music student and is also preparing for his AMus this year. I would like to state the facts based on our experience. My son began learning with Ambre full time in February 2025 after many year of on and off lessons and workshops. 1. Ambre cancelled my son’s lesson at the time he was already on the train travelling to her studio. 2. On another scheduled lesson, Ambre did not answer the doorbell or respond to messages. My son waited for half an hour before leaving, still with no explanation as to why she was not there. 3. She cancelled several lessons last July, despite knowing that my son was preparing his HSC performance piece. 4. Amber agreed to perform and record my son’s HSC composition for an agreed cost. The piece is 1 minute and 55 seconds long. The school organised a recording date, and my son informed Ambre far ahead of this date. However, she did not attend and later told him she had not practised the piece and would record it on her own. She did not provide the recording studio cost upfront and only mentioned that it would be at “mate’s rates.” As the deadline approached and we still had not received the recording, and found it increasingly hard to communicate with Ambre, we were under pressure to find someone else. She then asked if we were sure and promised to complete it the following Monday, which was five days later than the original recording date, still without confirming any cost. She eventually sent a recording, but it sounded overly electronic and was much slower than the required tempo. My son said it was unusable. We ended up paying someone else, who completed the recording on time to my son’s satisfaction. We paid Ambre and the extra for the audio engineer which would not have been necessary had Ambre turned up to School at the agreed time and date. By not being able to use the school facilities on time, our son was placed under extreme pressure from his music teacher due to the late submission. 5. My son also noted that although Ambre’s classroom looks impressive, he just required a teacher who is reliable with better communication. 6. At the end of August , Ambre messaged to say she would no longer teach my son in the future after we questioned her reliability and her professional judgment of the recording.

Ambre has been teaching our son piano for what must be close to 10 years now. She is a very talented musician and an enthusiastic teacher whose passion for music is infectious. She has always been very flexible and able to adapt her teaching to suit the needs of students, and most importantly she creates a learning environment that is fun and inspiring. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

We are incredibly grateful to have had Ambre as our daughter's piano teacher for the past six years. From the very beginning, she has been a source of not only excellent musical instruction but also genuine care, encouragement, and support. Over the years, we've seen our daughter grow tremendously - both as a musician and as a person. Ambre creates a warm, welcoming environment where learning feels natural, and where hard work is celebrated with kindness and enthusiasm. Whether it's guiding her through difficult pieces or helping her discover new musical interests, Ambre has always been a dedicated and inspiring mentor. We are truly fortunate to have Ambre in our lives, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate, and inspiring piano teacher. We look forward to many more years of learning and growing under her guidance.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have Ambre as our sons' piano teacher for the past four years. During this time, she has not only equipped them with exceptional technical skills but also nurtured their love for music. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students is truly inspiring. Under her guidance, both our sons have made remarkable progress, successfully advancing from AMEB Grade 3 to CMus within just four years. Beyond the achievements, Ambre has instilled in them a genuine appreciation and enjoyment of music, which we believe will stay with them for a lifetime. We highly recommend Ambre and her brand new music school to anyone looking for a teacher who is both highly skilled and deeply committed to inspiring a love for music in her students.

Ambre is an amazing piano teacher! My daughter always looks forward to her lessons. She is incredibly patient and makes learning fun and engaging. Her encouragement has motivated my daughter to practice more, and we’re so grateful for her support. Highly recommend!
