Emily and Tori did an amazing job with our wedding pictures/video! They are kind, responsible, creative, and just all around great people - it feels like you’re friends as soon as you meet them. I would highly recommend them for any photo needs you have. They captured the essence of our day, and our personalities so well. Love them!!

When it came to planning the wedding, photography was my #1 priority. I am not a photographer myself but the act of documentation has always been something incredibly special and important to me. So making the decision for our wedding photographer was not one I made lightly! I was browsing photographer portfolios and meeting with potential photographers for around 3 months. I stumbled across Emily’s Instagram account through the tagged photos of Canyonwood Ridge. I was drawn to her use of movement, perspective, grain, and light. I started following her on Instagram and requested an initial meeting with her. We met on Zoom and something just felt different - we clicked. Emily is so genuinely warm, hilarious, and passionate about photography and the industry. She was making me laugh from the first minute and I immediately knew that we would be friends. Leading up to the wedding, Emily was incredible. She drove to Austin for our engagement shoot and spent hours with us between a rooftop and South Congress capturing the perfect shots. She was patient as I went back and forth between adding film, responded to my emails and texts quickly, and in general was so supportive through the planning process. As a Type A bride, I am also quite particular in how I look in photos - it’s honestly a curse lol. The week before the wedding Emily, her assistant Tori, and I had a Zoom call to hash out the day of details and timeline. I walked them through a Powerpoint of specific poses as well as photos of me that I did not like - I was honestly nervous about doing this because I didn’t want to come off as an inhibitor to her art! Emily was so gracious and reassuring. She really calmed the anxiety I was feeling in my heart! She made suggestions on how to best approach the long list of poses I wanted and assured me that she would ensure that I would be captured in a way that would make me feel confident and beautiful. The day of the wedding, Emily showed up early with Tori and ready to rock ‘n roll. The two of them worked together like a well oiled machine - Emily behind the camera and Tori behind the iPad! Tori kept all of us moving along according to the timeline but at any point in which I exclaimed “oh what about this pose/shot!” both gals responded “Absolutely, let’s get it.” While Tori and Emily were working with us girls, Emily’s second shooter, Blake was with the guys. Emily, Tori, and Blake, made each member of the wedding party feel at ease. They provided clear instructions on posing and LOTS of hype! One of my biggest fears for our wedding day was not getting all the photos I wanted - Having Tori with her iPad going through my photo inspo and prepping all of us for the next pose made that fear dissolve. When people tell you that your wedding day flies by, they aren’t lying. I was being pulled in so many different directions!! But Emily and Tori stayed true to the timeline and grabbed me, the groom, the party, the parents, the family, or whoever was needed WHEN they were needed. The entire team stayed through our reception and until the end of the night to capture our exit - I would not have had it any other way. I am so incredibly grateful to the EmilyLiz Photography team. I am the first to admit that I was a Type A bride - particular in the planning process, the posing, the timeline, etc. Emily worked with me every step of the way and did not make me feel like it was wrong to approach wedding planning the way that I did. She truly made me feel SEEN and HEARD. Emily delivered sneak peeks just 3 days post wedding and I am SO EXCITED to see the rest. I absolutely plan on staying in touch with Emily post-wedding. I want to work with her for future milestones and know we will stay friends! We love you so much!!

It’s been almost six months since our wedding and every time I look at our photos I feel like I’m there again! Emily and Tori were a blast to work with; Emily took our engagement photos, bridal portraits, and was such a huge part of our special day. After our wedding day we got so many compliments about her, she didn’t make a huge splash or announce herself in any particular way but was still able to get so many (perfect) candid shots of us and our guests. As we started planning our wedding, I knew that it would be important to find a photographer that we were going to be comfortable with and trust with everything leading up to our wedding and I’m so glad we found Emily. She’s so fun and upbeat, but also brings such a bright light of authenticity to an industry that’s so competitive, it’s obvious to everyone involved that she loves what she does. (We also got our photos back super quickly, she sent us sneak peaks a couple days after each photo session with her and the full albums after a few weeks!) If you hire Emily Liz Photography, you’re in good hands! 10/10 would recommend and hire her again!

Emily is such an amazing photographer and even more amazing person! She perfectly captured our engagement and wedding photos! She is such a pleasant person to work with and her humor is sure to get some genuine smiles in your photos! We are so thankful she was able to join us for our destination wedding at the Grand Canyon.

I hired Emily to photograph my sister-in-law's intimate home wedding, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the experience and photos! Emily's creativity, attention to detail and care for the wedding party were top notch, and we will cherish the photos forever.
