Had a great time here doing a wine tasting with our group. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, extremely knowledgeable about the Hunter region and wine tasting in general, and even let us try a few special wines that they wouldn’t typically which was great! I would highly reccomend everyone to come here for a tasting, I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in the area.

My family recently re-visited Ernest Hills after about 10 years, and it was lovely to be able to get a tasting of the wines. The tasting menu is great value! It was a wonderfully curated selection, though I do wish there was a little more variety across the menu. Nonetheless, they were very generous with the tastings of the wine - even offering us a tasting of some additional wines outside of the menu. We walked away with two bottles of their 11 o'clock Muscat which is so delightfully unique and delicious for the festive season!

We loved hearing about the family history behind the wine names — such a personal touch. The kangaroos were fascinating to see, and it was interesting to learn how they pose unique challenges for winemaking (definitely not something we deal with in the States!). The winery has a calm, homey, and welcoming vibe that made the visit especially enjoyable. While the dessert wines stood out to us, it was really the overall atmosphere that made this experience so memorable.

Always a pleasure to visit this boutique winery. Even the local Roos came out to say hi and lounge in the sun amongst the vines. Excellent wines, friendly and knowledgeable team…. Always welcoming to me and my furry companion Thanks guys, looking forward to catching up again soon

We had a lovely time at Ernest Hill Wines. The wine tasting experience was very well done—smooth, informative, and enjoyable. Julia guided us through the tasting with warmth and professionalism, introducing us to a range of wines that, while not groundbreaking, were all very pleasant and easy to enjoy. The setting is small but cozy, clean, and welcoming—perfect for a relaxed stop on a wine tour. A real highlight was spotting kangaroos around the vineyards, which added a wonderful touch of Aussie charm to the visit. All in all, there’s nothing to complain about—just a genuinely nice experience in a beautiful spot. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
