The customer service is severely lacking. Purchased an opal ring from Lauren Wolf. It was beautiful at first. Needed to get it resized and didn’t mind the $250 resizing fee. The resizing experience was weird. Multiple reading tools used leading to confusion and a wrong resizing. We returned and they offered to resize without additional charge. Unbeknownst to use and without communication the realizing was completed incorrectly several times. When the ring was finally ready, the opal had been damaged and there was a flaw in the band. The staff were not receptive and only blamed us while we understand how to take care of an opal and they did not want to help us. For luxury good dealer I would expect much better communication and client service. I will never use Esqueleto again, I will never recommend it and if I know anyone considering using Esqueleto I will suggest that they don’t

I came here to create a custom engagement ring using the diamond from my grandmother’s ring, and I’m so glad I chose this shop. I felt genuinely taken care of throughout the entire process. Kate was incredibly communicative, patient, and never made us feel pressured at any point. She went above and beyond by bringing in multiple options and helping us explore different design directions. We only needed a small deposit to get started and there was no pressure to pay the rest until we were comfortable finalizing the CAD. Having the CAD was especially helpful in refining the design, and Kate was always understanding as we went back and forth on details. She made everything feel smooth and enjoyable. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend working with Kate and the team.

It was such a wonderful experience working with Kate and the Oakland Esqueleto team on a custom ring. From start to finish, Kate was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and patient as I explored different options and small tweaks to get everything just right. She kept me updated throughout the process and made it feel seamless. The ring turned out absolutely beautiful!! I truly couldn’t be happier with the final piece and the overall experience.

My ring looks awful after gentle wear. I don't wear it anymore because of that. The person I contacted at the store was totally rude and made me so uncomfortable. There are way better places to shop. For reference, I have a ring on every finger from lovely stores on Fourth Street that have worn beautifully and look amazing. This one is horrible. Go elsewhere.

I have shopped here since they were located in Temescal and always had great experiences there. Unfortunately, the move seems to have come with a shift in attitude. I stopped by a few days before Christmas to buy earrings for my partner and was actually insulted about not looking 'chic' enough to enter. I don't enjoy leaving a negative review but it was an incredibly upsetting experience during an already stressful holiday season—a time when buying gifts should feel joyful. The jewelry from the artists they carry is top-notch, which is why I specifically sought this place out, so I ended up buying the exact piece I wanted directly from the artist for a better price. I’ll be skipping the boutique pretension and supporting artists directly from now on.

Very sad and disappointed with the customer service. I asked “how much” for one of their rings and their answer was “that one is too expensive”, to then look at their tablet and check the price (and this is just one example). No questions about what I was looking for or anything, they show no interest and made the experience intimidating. My recommendation for the staff is to go on a field trip to other jewelry stores and experience them, like next door jewelry store that has an exceptional customer experience.
