We came from out of town. The shop was small and items overpriced. They make it seem like they are eco friendly and kind but they are not. The worst part was how they really make their money. This PRIVATE lot has paid parking but the signs are so obscure or elevated so high as to not be easily and readily noticed. The parking meter is far removed in a corner you wouldn’t see and NONE of the workers there (purposely no doubt) remind you or ask if you paid for parking as a way of advising people there is a charge. The going rate for the day was about $15 but new people who don’t know weren’t advised by staff, and aren’t able to see the signs, get slammed with a $75 to $100 parking ticket. I’ll make sure to tell friends and family plus have them pass the word around. Save your money especially for Christmas. DON’T GO TO THIS EVENT. Avoid this money grab at all costs.
Always a great experience.. beautiful layout with lots of fun plants + other gardening related supplies and well organized. The staff is also very friendly. I like the native plant section most - a friend and I were in search of milkweed starter plants (to plant for monarchs) and not only did they have them, they had 4 types available. The staff was helpful explaining the different types and had useful recommendations. If you find yourself at Evergreen Brickworks visiting this garden shop is a must!
Love the market here! So many different items and there’s bound to be something that any person can find! From local preserved goods to that art print to the seeds, all surrounded by a cozy feel as soon as you step foot into the place. Weekends can get busy but everyone seems to be in high spirits, even with the amount of people This market is only the tip of the iceberg when exploring the brick works but the market is definitely a good place to start your brickworks visit out! a perfect place to buy a unique gift! books, pottery, candles, lots of handmade products - from local artists/craft people. Before you go, check the hours - the place tends to be closed on Mondays and Tuesday. take the free shuttle bus from north of Broadview station - it is also a great bike ride or a (longer) walk from either Broadview of Castle Station. it requires a bit research and a good map.
Good location. It gets crowded on Saturday morning with a long wait line however it does move fast. Great supply of quality produce and goods. The real draw back is the acute lack of parking.
