Nick was able to diagnose and even tried multiple solutions to potentially save me money. The cooling pump was bad and the company I bought my PC from installed the fans backwards. He replaced the pump, cleaned it out and fixed the fans. He also stayed past closing hours in order to get me my PC back the day he said it would be ready. The labor was cheaper than the replacement part itself and he went through the wringer to get it back to peak performance. It took a couple days because he was out of the office and had other projects ahead of mine, but he worked hard to still get it to me the day he estimated. He knows what he’s doing and will do what’s needed to get the job done above satisfactory. Will definitely be a returning customer if ever needed. This is a small business that deserves your support for your PC needs.
Nick did an incredible job with my pc. I had newly built a gaming pc and was incredibly frustrated when my VGA light on my motherboard turned on with no signal on my monitor. Not only did Nick identify my problem within minutes of our initial phone call but also had an immediate plan for a fix. Nick sourced the necessary parts himself and had my rig back to me in under a work week, with a very reasonable price for labor AND he redid my cable management, which looked fantastic. I would highly recommend Nick to anyone and it was a pleasure working with him. If I ever have any further pc issues, Nick will be the guy.
My fiance and I visited the shop for the first time today and we will be loyal repeat customers for sure. Nick is incredibly knowledgeable, candid and helpful in a way which is rare and refreshing. He thinks outside the box to solve tricky issues with older machines and offers solutions we would have never found elsewhere. I would like to address a few of the reviews which did not showcase the effectiveness of this business; sometimes customers place blame on the technician for mistakes made at home. A power source mishandled will always present a safety concern and potential fire hazard. I recommend future customers take all reviews with caution, give this business a try for yourself and see what you think.
I tried hard to make this experience work (I really try to support small/local businesses), but it was ultimately one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had anywhere. I brought my 2016 Macbook here because my keyboard stopped working due to a spill. Screen and touch bar still worked fine. Was quoted $220 to replace with a refurbished keyboard. I don't mind refurbished. However, the part arrived damaged, and after Nick sent some photos I pointed out that the glass on the touch bar looked cracked. Nick said no it's not cracked, it's just cosmetic damage. I said okay, and lo and behold, he puts it on - making sure I knew just how arduous the process was and how long it took him - and the touch bar doesn't work. I go in and sure enough, the glass is in fact cracked. I tell him I can't accept the repair with it being anything less than fully functional - which is reasonable. To his credit, he says no worries and he'll order a new part. However, I shouldn't have to come in person to tell him the reason the part doesn't work and that it's an unacceptable job. I'm not the expert in this situation being paid, and I wasn't the one staring at this part for multiple hours, I could tell from a photo that the glass was cracked. He gets the new part (after another ~2 weeks) and puts it on, then calls me to tell me that he got it on just fine, and then my computer STARTED ON FIRE. That one of the chips in my motherboard blew. At this point, I have tried so hard to be understanding and have also been without my computer for over a month. Multiple people I have spoken with about this, including a certified repair person, have all said the same thing - that most likely something was wired/ set up incorrectly. Nick didn't offer any solutions when he called me to tell me this, no apology, no "I understand this is an issue, this is what we can do to fix it". I told him I was going to have to talk at another time because I was so upset at this point. I ended up telling him I really just wanted my computer back at this point. I go to pick it up, and this guy very "generously" tells me he won't charge me for the labor but that I'll need to pay for the part he put on. Not to mention indirectly blaming me and saying the reason the chip blew is because it got wet... a month ago. Excuse me? You destroyed my computer, and then want me to PAY YOU? I don't care how much the part cost - I've been without a computer for over a month, I chose to come here instead of going elsewhere, and I now have an even LESS functional computer than I did before, and essentially am forced to replace it instead of repair it. I shouldn't have to pay for anything. I completely understand the cost as a small business, but you have to keep in mind I also *don't have a computer anymore*!! I told him if that was the case he could put my original keyboard back on and I'd take it as is (which required ANOTHER visit back). Not to mention he had access to my computer password through all this, which is uncomfortable enough to begin with let alone when you have received poor service from someone. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I had to go here no less than six times between all these ordeals. If Nick isn't comfortable working on MacBooks, as his comments suggested, then he needs to be upfront about that with his customers. I came here in good faith and exhibited a good deal of patience to make things work. As i said before however, one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had, enough that I'd write this essay. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.
Nick did a fantastic job building my dream gaming computer! He kept my aesthetics in mind, and gave me recommendations accordingly. He made himself available to answer any questions about my parts and build, and continued to check in to see how things were going with the PC even after I had picked it up! Overall amazing experience, and I'd definitely recommend having your PC built by Nick!
