I have been to Exodus 3 times. It is more expensive & I was aware. My first 2 experiences were nice. This time was an absolute nightmare. When booking online it gives you an estimated quote. Which I understand is an ESTIMATE, but when I was charged over $200 that estimate with NO CONVERSATION about it, I cried the entire way home. Like sobbed. The online estimate was $330 and I was charged $536! Amber was so blunt and rude about the price. My first red flag shouldve been the sigh when I showed my inspo pic… I also stated when we were running over on time I needed to be home for 3pm (my appointment was at 9:45am) and I wasnt home until after 5pm. All the stylists touched my hair and blamed the assistant for calling in for the time, but at checkout Amber attributed the high cost to the time it had taken… all this to say, I will not be back again. On top of it all, I was upfront about not styling my hair everyday and my cut looks absolutely horrible not styled. Also when my hair is not curled you can see my bangs are atleast a solid 2 shades darker than my hair when straight and it is horribly obvious. Included is a pic of my hair today, the estimate & the actual charge… Edit to respond to the response- I did like my hair IN THE SALON WHEN IT WAS STYLED. When i got home & washed my hair several days later I saw the errors in my $500 horror story. Also, you NEVER discussed any of these costs or what these services would cost outside of the estimate. It also doesnt change how inconsistent my color is without curling it. I also have not been a customer since 2021. My first visit was May 2023. So I have been there, saving my money, once a year. But yall say whatever helps you sleep at night. God bless.
