I attended Tim’s recent running technique fundamentals session and found it was super valuable and insightful! Loved the way he pairs theory and practical - the science behind why and how making different tweaks affects our running and putting it into tangible practice (comparing and contrasting) helped me to not only learn but feel the difference in my running. The 1:1 personalised feedback was also great as we all had something to take home with us to practice in our personal running journeys. I can’t recommend Tim & Extension Fitness highly enough. I began training with Tim in October 2025, aiming to complete a marathon in April 2026. I figured that six months of preparation would give me plenty of time to get ready. Although I’d done a few half-marathons in the past, I had put on some weight and my running had dropped off, so I wanted some professional guidance. After searching online for a coach who could provide both a structured running plan and a gym program, Tim and Extension Fitness stood out. After a quick 15-minute phone chat, I was confident Tim was the right fit for me. We met for a brief catch-up where I shared my current fitness levels, past running and gym experience, and my goal to run a marathon in six months. Tim listened and we got straight into building my training plan together. My first benchmark run was 5 kilometres, which I finished in 41 minutes and 50 seconds—well off my personal best of 24 minutes from a few years ago—so I knew I had a fair bit of work ahead. By January 2026, I’d managed to run 5 kilometres in under 30 minutes, my quickest time in over three years. Having previously struggled with knee injuries and adductor tendinopathy, Tim assessed my running technique and pointed out what needed fixing. Since following his advice, I haven’t had any injuries or niggles and for the first time in years, I’ve been able to run three times a week comfortably. My weight has dropped and my fitness has improved dramatically. Your running can get better. If you are feeling frustrated with your run technique or your run time, or actually both, Tim is a soft launch into improving your running. Very knowledgeable, he works with you to make those small improvements that set you on a path to be better. His running assessment on the treadmill will blow your mind with the videos he will film of you of before and after Tim's tips are applied, so a running assessment is highly recommended. I can definitely vouch for Tim as great run coach. Your running can get better.
I attended a running technique workshop put on by Tim and it was excellent. There was a good alternation between theory and practice, with two practical inputs where some participants' running was analysed, and all participants tried out drills to improve their running. I came away with some immediate hints on how to improve my running which I have been putting into practice since then. His presentation style is clear, empathetic and clearly informed by his deep knowledge, both from training as a physio and many years of involvement in endurance athletics. I would recommend Tim to anyone working on improving their running, whether they were beginners or more advanced.
I’ve been training with Tim for the past 3 months, and I can confidently say he is an exceptional personal trainer. When I first started, my goal was to lose weight—from 112kg down to 80kg—and thanks to a combination of Tim’s training and medication, I’ve already lost 10kg in just 3 months.
