This was my first time in Houston and after walking around the area, I decided to stop in and grab something to eat. Everyone was friendly immediately upon entering and was seated right away. I started off with the biscuits, which came with butter and pepper jelly, and ordered the bang bang shrimp. My waiter recommended the trout which was the catch of the day. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was incredible! I even took the homemade bread pudding to go! Highly recommend this place if you are in the area and I hope to return whenever I make it back to Houston!
Came here to celebrate my 90 day sobriety and the appetizers stole the show for us. They start you off with yummy bread and these jelly and butter that were sure were made in house, so good. Made you want more but you know you’ll get full so gotta chill. We had miscommunication on appetizers so we got one free which was nice (the free one was the calamari) Both were amazing and full of different flavors - the other app was the bang bang shrimp which was my favorite. I wasn’t a fan of my half chicken federal because it was too spicy for my pathetic pallet, the waiter had said it was a little spicy but of coarse my disappointing tongue said otherwise. Overall the combination of the pico, sauce and chicken with whatever the bottom portion was excellent. (The only other thing was I had said I wanted pasta but I guess they only have chicken Alfredo as an option which is basic so I said nah) My boyfriend’s surf and turf was kind of mid wouldn’t recommend or get again. For the price you’d think you’d get more shrimp or a bigger steak but no - it was disappointing to say the least because the sides were bland as well and took up most of the plate. Experience was good with the staff and music playing. But would deff change up our main course plate next time - if there is a next time. Felt like a one and done type vibe.
The staff here made our experience really special. April was a tentative waitress and took great care of our large party. The manager was also very sweet to our birthday guest. Food was good, desserts were my favorite!

We ate dinner in the private room for groups. Very nice atmosphere a little tight in the private room but it as quite and intimate. The drinks were ok for $7 ranch water, we order from the happy hour menu. I did not like the seasoning on the rim it tasted like fish batter. The food was great. I had the shrimp and grits, full flavor good portion. Everyone in our party was happy with the food.
