I had never hired a private investigator before I called Scott Filley. I live in another state and a friend had borrowed my RV and was not responding to my requests to return it after nearly 3 years. I felt like I had no other options than to enlist the help of a PI. And I'm so glad I contacted him. Upon receiving my call, Scott jumped into action immediately and drove to where we thought the RV was most recently located. He was incredibly thorough in his continued search to find the RV and/or find my friend. He enlisted the help of a sheriff's deputy to do some investigating. He drove all over Marin County looking for it. Finally, he sent some associates to make contact with my friend. It was that final act that resulted in the eventual return of the RV by my friend. I can't say enough positive things about Scott and his work. He attacked the problem from multiple angles, coming up with creative ways to locate the RV or my friend. He was persistent in his approach, not giving up when we reached a dead-end. And, in addition to his professional work approach, he was also respectful and kind, listening to my story with empathy. Hiring Scott was the best day decision I ever made. He is very understanding throughout the whole process and continually kept me well informed. He was able to come up with other ideas to carry out the investigation and he was very flexible. Really enjoyed working with him! Scott is willingly to do whatever it takes to make sure the investigation is completed with the best accuracy.

Thanks to Scott we were able to track down our homeless son in a matter of days after our own attempts to find him had failed. Scott was honest, dedicated and persistent. He stayed within the budget we set for his services. He was able to arrange for our son to be served with legal papers once he had been located. He facilitated our contact with a local social service agency who had regular contact with our son so we should be able to find him again in the future. Can't say enough good things about Scott. We highly recommend him.

A friend called me one Sunday. She asked if I could help locate a missing family member. I had no idea how to do that, and not enough time had passed to file a true "missing person" report with the police. When in doubt, hire a professional. I found Scott online and spoke with him on the family's behalf. He replaced the situation's stress with a methodical process and insight. Scott asked thoughtful discovery questions to orient his search, then got started. It took less than 10 minutes. As you can imagine, this wasn't an awesome time for that family. Scott's work...on a Sunday...delivered aid, comfort, and results. The missing family member was found in less than 90 minutes. There's an old saying that it's not enough to do your best...you have to know what to do, and then do your best. In this situation, and I'm sure others like it, Scott knew what to do. If you ever need the services of a private investigator, I highly recommend Scott and his firm. We were lucky to find them, they were excellent in every way.
