This gym wrongfully charged me despite giving proper cancellation notice. Full story: Facility itself is great. Small size, good classes offered. Had a great experience up until I had to change gyms due to moving I contacted co-owner Dustin to cancel my membership (was on month-to-month), and got no response until weeks later (said he'd been dealing with personal matters. Totally understandable -so far), when he told me that I was good to go, but would be charged for the next month because they require 30 days notice to cancel I gently pointed out that it was infact more than 30 days before the next month renewed so I don't believe I should be charged (requested on Aug 22, next bill was Sept 22. 31 days) No response. A few days later I texted again, confirming I wouldn't be charged No response. I ended up getting charged and texted him to request it be refunded No response. Followed up a couple weeks later basically saying "Hello?" No response. Completely unprofessional and straight up took my money
Great little gym! Has everything you'd need. Love the ambiance of the old boiler room and high ceilings. Cool area too. Wish I could continue my membership but moved too far away.
Great small gym. I'm in town to visit family and they've been kind. It's never crowded. Non-invasive. And just a nice quiet atmosphere to get your workout in and go. Just perfect.
I have gone to Flex Appeal for over a year now. The gym has all the equipment you need to get a great workout ie multiple dumbbell sets, squat racks, smith machine, kettle bells, and multiple cardio machines. There’s even a really nice area to stretch and the bathrooms have showers! People who go there are kind, courteous, thoughtful and all different ages. Dustin the owner is always responsive and helpful. Have never had any issues. Would highly recommend.
l have been working with Dustin at Flex Appeal for about two months now and have had a great experience. After about three years of no exercise at all, I was looking for a gym + trainer where I felt comfortable, supported, and encouraged to work at my own pace, and I have found that here. If you are looking for an easy-going atmosphere that doesn’t feel intimidating or judgmental, this is a great place to get started, especially if you want to work with a personal trainer.
