Great place and amazing mid-week option

Had such a fun time at Flip Out yesterday! 🤸♂️ The trampolines were awesome and there was heaps of space to jump around without feeling cramped. The obstacle areas and foam pits made it even better — definitely not just for kids. Staff were friendly and everything felt pretty safe and well-organised. It did get a bit busy at times, but that didn’t take away from the experience too much. Great place to go with friends if you want something active and different. I was exhausted by the end (in a good way 😅). Would definitely go again!

I arrived at 10am on a Monday with two children under 5, the same time as their advertised toddler playgroup. Part of the play area is blocked off for construction and full price is still being charged, which I understood before entering and had no problem with. What I did have a problem with was the sound of the construction in the trampoline area was measuring above 85db. This level of noise can damage hearing over time, particularly for toddlers whose hearing is still developing. My kids were getting distressed and asking to leave, so I asked the young worker at the desk if the noise could be brought down to a safe level. Her initial suggestion of jumping on the trampoline in the corner furthest away from the noise wasn’t particularly helpful since we were already doing this. She told me not to approach the manager myself(?) but she would speak to him. She came back and said they would ask the construction workers to minimise the noise, and I thanked her. Instead, the manager’s response was to turn up the music in the venue in a poor attempt to mask the construction noise, thus adding to the dangerous noise levels. My kids were distressed and I left to protect their hearing. Levels of construction noise which damage hearing at a time slot which is advertised as being suitable for toddlers is completely unacceptable, and the manager’s response was inappropriate at best. I was considering this venue for my older child’s party, and certainly won’t be returning now. I will be contacting head office.
