I only post when moved to do so. Good service, bad meal, etc. This breakfast dish blew my mind. Order the Truffle Potato Rosti. It is fantastic. With the potato and whipped polenta base, all of the flavors become beautiful accents to make up a perfect meal. Loved it. Bravo chef!

Excellent place! We stopped by around 6 pm for a coffee and a slice of cake, which we know isn’t very common in Australia. The lemon pie was very good, although it could be improved a bit. The service was very friendly. We didn’t have dinner, but we saw the dishes served at other tables and they looked very tempting. Highly recommended.

cappuccino/matcha latte we had with their pecan pie that staff recommended were the perfect desserts:) Pecan pie was in a soft, moist cake form. It’s decadent without being overly sweet. Espresso Almond Cake that we ordered gave wonderful, dense crumb, and the espresso notes are bold and aromatic. It’s the perfect companion to a hot coffee :) Atmosphere is peaceful and incredibly photogenic in The Rocks with modern & old buildings around. Two thumbs up for this cafe :)

We visited The Rocks Cafe and tried the kangaroo burger. I didn’t feel much difference compared to a regular beef burger, but I really liked the fries — not salty at all, and I appreciated that we could add our own salt and pepper. I was expecting a more special coffee from The Rocks Cafe, but the cappuccino was quite average, especially considering the cafés around the area. The staff were friendly, and the Italian girl who served us was very professional and attentive. Overall, a pleasant experience, but the coffee could be improved.

I visited The Rocks Cafe in Sydney on November 1, 2025 with colleagues, and had such a great experience. It was my first time traveling to Australia and it was really nice to try their menu. The place has a great vibe with friendly staff, especially David, and has a cozy atmosphere. I tried kangaroo steak for the first time and it was a bit gamey but actually pretty good. I had it in medium rare. The chicken penne and calamari was also delicious, and the chips with truffle dip were amazing. We paired our meal with mocktails in passion and peach spritz, which went perfectly with the food. For the dessert, mud cake was so good I would go back just for that! Lemon meringue is just not for me but my colleagues loved it. The vanilla ice cream on the lemon meringue, that one I super duper love! Great spot in The Rocks and perfect for trying some Aussie dishes.
