We had a wonderful experience with Fred Astaire for our first wedding dance! Neither of us had much dance experience, but our instructor, Yuliia, was incredibly patient, creative, and genuinely invested in making our first dance unforgettable. She choreographed a routine that perfectly matched our Latin song and style—fun, romantic, and just the right level of challenge. Each lesson was organized and encouraging, and she broke everything down in a way that made us feel confident and excited. Our guests loved it! It was a very special moment. We’re so grateful for the support, talent, and positivity from Fred Astaire. Highly recommend to any couple looking to create a memorable first dance.

I started dancing about 2 years ago. I got interested in it by randomly coming across a video online several years ago. I decided to research local dance studios and this place was the first I came across. I was planning on trying it for no more than a few weeks but 2 years later I’m still here and come at least 1-2 times a week! I didn’t realize how much you can advance in dancing and this place gained my interest quickly. There are still many skills I plan on learning and plenty of room for advancement. Yuliia, my dance instructor and her husband Grygorii are excellent, Yuliia is the first dance instructor I’ve ever had and this is the first dance studio I’ve ever been which is testimony to how great they are. I highly recommend them!! Dances they offer: tango, waltz, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, salsa, rumba, east/west coast swing, bachata and several more.

I have been dancing with Grygorii and Yuliia for several months and would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to ballroom dance at any skill level. For some background context, I have ballroom danced on and off in the Raleigh area for years. I’ve been at other Fred Astaire studios (different owners), Arthur Murray and independently owned studios. This studio is by far and away the best studio for so many reasons - in particular, the studio culture (super welcoming, all different skill levels, friendly and supportive students) and the best instruction and training I have ever received. The instructors are obviously passionate about their work, will tailor their instruction to the skill level and goals of each student, and my dancing ability and skills have improved tremendously. They will meet you where you are at in your dance journey no matter where that may be and will bring an extraordinary expertise and lifetime of experience to the table. The joy my time here brings me is hard to adequately describe in words but this studio, these instructors, and the community of students they’ve created have become one of the most fulfilling experiences I look forward to every week. Whether you are brand new to ballroom, experienced and looking for a new studio, just wanting to learn social dances, looking for exercise or wanting to compete, this is the best place for you and you would be doing a disservice to yourself by going anywhere else.

I started taking lessons at this studio 18 months ago. I had always wanted to learn ballroom dance and finally decided to do it. I feel so lucky that I found this studio. Grygorii and Yuliia are wonderful instructors and experienced dance professionals. They have created a dance family here at the studio and always welcome new students. They are very positive and supportive in helping us achieve our best.

I have been taking lessons at Fred Astaire in Raleigh for about seven years, and I had danced for years before that. It is a wonderful studio. Grygorii and Yuliia are very fine dancers and teachers, and they create a wonderfully warm atmosphere for beginners and advanced students alike. I have seen them work with wedding couples. They create interesting routines for everyone.
