Supportive, beginner friendly atmosphere. Classes are technical but broken down into digestible portions to facilitate learning at any level. 10/10

the instructor was so rude and unprofessional. would not recommend for a beginner or someone who wants to have fun

Unfortunately I did not have a great first impression. I was so excited to have my first bachata class. As a first timer, I chose the beginner class. As soon as the class starts there is no welcome to newbies/first timers, no ice breakers. They get straight into a “warmup” where everyone is basically doing Bachata and knows all the steps. If you have anxiety or get nervous around big groups this is not a friendly class for you. You’re pretty much thrown in and not communicated with. I would not say this is beginner class. This is intermediate and if there is a certain process they claim to have, it should have been COMMUNICATED. Please take this as a tip to just communicate with new comers. Be easy on them and let them warm up into it. I would 100 % not recommend this company to actual beginners.

Come to FyH if you want to experience fun and patient guidance from all instructors. Technical knowledge of the dances are stressed as equally as the importance of making sure you're having an enjoyable time learning. Can't forget about the valued cultural importance as well! Even with classes that are more packed than others, the instructors are still keeping a watchful eye on everyone for individual needs, as well as class-wide needs for a fix or improvement. Advancements are celebrated by instructors and class members alike, and there's a lighthearted and friendly manor when corrections are needed..so nobody ever feels judged/embarrassed while learning. I'm so glad to have found Fuego y Hielo. Fuquan, Destany, Carlos, and Candace have been wonderful dance instructors from baby steps to musical instrumental importance. I've been happy to invite my friends and colleagues along with me since the studio has always been so inviting to everyone. I could go on...public events are planned for real world dance practice, private events for studio members to come together outside of dance to become closer, group chats for practice opportunities, birthday celebrations, etc etc etc. 10/10 recommend!!

I have taken classes at a few studios before I discovered Fuego y Hielo. A few minutes after my first class I knew I had found a gem. You instantly get to see some moves that you will be learning during the warm up. I probably learned more in the warm up there than I had learned in a month at a previous studio I attended. To make a long story short. The other dance studios were more mom and pop-ish. Fuego y hielo is a dance studio managed by professional dancers.
