My experience with Funkytown Music Academy over the last few months have been wonderful! I worked with Bethany Martin and she is both a wonderful teacher and a kind person. A great place for all ages.

My 2 daughters have been attending lessons with Funkytown for just over 2 years. If you're looking for a place with instructors who are personally invested in helping your child bloom musically, this place is it. I wanted to learn to play an instrument they didn't offer, and they SEARCHED for an instructor, and hired her specifically to accommodate my desire to play a particular instrument. How amazing is that? So now my daughters and I attend Funkytown, next I'll be adding my son. We love Funkytown Music Academy!!

We love funkytown music and Joesph. He is very kind, encouraging and patient with his students. My daughter has been doing lessons with him for almost 3 years and loves it. She started with guitar and has now added in piano. With his help and the lessons she has grown so much these last three years. She has not only grown in music knowledge but in confidence. She helps out with music at church sometimes and isn’t afraid to play in front of others. I have really appreciated how funkytown music has worked with all this covid stuff. They have been strict about social distance and offered zoom lessons that worked out wonderful for us. Joesph is very accommodating even when last min we were not feeling good he let us do zoom classes instead of in person. I highly recommend funkytown music. Hope to see some new faces soon.

My son began guitar lessons with Joseph less than a year ago, but it has been a fantastic experience! Joseph is encouraging, paces the learning well, and makes it fun. We are even looking to add a second instrument because it’s been so great!
