I can’t say enough good things about this place. While no one ever wants to find themselves in a position to have to go to a place like this, I recommend this place 100% if you do have to. Everyone here is so caring and truly tries to help in every way that they can. My baby Asher swallowed something he shouldn’t have and they took care of him every step of the way between Saturday and Sunday, when I was an absolute mess. They made the entire process so smooth and set everything up for us so Asher could be taken straight to a facility for surgery. They treated both him and us with respect, compassion, and sympathy. Such a warm and inviting place to take your furry loved ones. They will be in good hands!
Words could not explain how amazing this place is. The staff, Dr. Prock, Marta, Kaylee, Deja, and Marissa have been PERFECT throughout this entire process. Asher, our little baby boy decided to eat something that he shouldn’t. We kept an eye on him and finally called to be seen. We were seen right away (due to the time we came in and the weather). DR. Prock, dude you were so damn good. He showed genuine compassion and really cared about our boy. I will say the same about Marissa??? I’m sorry if I didn’t give the right name. Regardless, they went above and beyond for him. I cannot stress this enough that they TRULY CARE about animals and you can tell they love their job. Them being open until 10 pm is a big plus. While I hope I do not have to come here again, due to the circumstances, I will most certainly choose Furgent Care over anywhere else in the Hampton Roads area. Thank you guys, so so so so much.
We came here after spending the night in the ER elsewhere for our cat. The ER had basically told us our cat was going to die and they wanted 9 thousand to help him. We chose outpatient care because if he was going to pass we wanted him to pass with his family in his home and not with complete strangers in a metal cold cage woth loud animals nearby. We were charged 900 for 3 meds, labs and fluids. We came here the next day as we were worried when the nausea meds wear off our cat would go back to not being able to hold food down. Dr.Robinson looked at everything that was done to him the night before and told us something so different from the ER. She told us he wasn't going to die and was really transparent with what he needed to get better. She was kind and thoughtful to how we felt and answered all of our questions without judgement. She gave us all the meds and prescription food he needed to help him recover and gave us hope. I cant express how relieved we were to know we could help him feel better and that what the ER filled our heads with was just untrue. We also were not charged an arm and a leg for unnecessary services at furgent. Thank you Dr. Robinson for giving us the relief we desperately needed.
I'm so thankful that I brought my dog to Furgent care, and if I ever have to use a ER Vet again - this is the one I'm using! My 11 year old goldendoodle has cancer and over the weekend he developed a stomach issue. Not wanting to risk fever or dehydration, I called Furgent care and they quickly got my in the virtual que to come in. Check in was easy, the vet technicians were wonderful and friendly. Dr Prock was wonderful and really put me at ease in such a stressful situation, explained everything throughly, answering all my questions and giving me his recommendations for treatment. They did not force any unnecessary treatment, and they gave me a full breakdown of everything, including the price before I had to checkout. Within a few hours, my dog was drinking water on his own and has already shown improvement. Thank you!
Everyone took such good care of our Blue. He came in with an open wound and we felt so bad for him. Everyone here was so friendly and they made Blue feel very comfortable and loved. We brought him in for his 2 week follow up and he is all healed. We can not thank them enough. All the staff was wonderful. I would recommend this facility to anyone. They put the care in Furgent care.
