We contacted Furniture Medic for an estimate to rebuild a 4-foot cabinet under an existing countertop, reusing the face frame after water damage. Over the phone, they quoted $7,000 to $10,000, which seemed extremely high—even for a more involved project. We were told there would be a $350 charge just to have someone come out and provide a formal estimate. We declined, as paying that much just to get a quote felt unreasonable. While it’s not easy to find someone for this kind of work, it can be done—and I recommend exploring other options if cost is important to you.

In all honesty I hate doing reviews (even bad reviews!) because they lead to tons of nonstop crap in my email. However, I want to give a shout out to Furniture Medic Rancho Cordova! Mat, Russell, Roxanne & everyone were helpful throughout the process! A very special thanks for JED for doing such an awesome job refinishing this table, which has been in my family for over 60 years. The table had severe water damage and more, but you cannot tell now! (If the photos post in the correct order….) The first 4 photos are before Jed and the last two are after Jed’s great work. Now Google - leave me alone please!

This business is a gem. Jed helped touch up one of my cabinets that had the handle broken off (left side). He provided excellent quality work and was attentive to details. Jed is one of a kind and still keeping alive a trade nearly lost. Staff were friendly and listened to my concerns.

Furniture medic was an absolute saving grace. We unfortunately had some water damage in our kitchen and needed our sink cabinet replaced along with an area under the cabinet. The furniture medic team was very helpful from start to finish. When measuring the cabinets, Mat and Brandon were very thorough and explained what they needed to be replaced. When it came to installing the cabinets, George and Erik were an excellent team. They were careful and thoughtful in making sure that the cabinets were properly installed and secured. They made sure to clean the area up and did one final inspection. They did an excellent job.

My husband and I were impressed by the workmanship of the furniture medic team as well as, the excellent customer service provided. We would like to thank Mat, Peter and George. Our cabinets look amazing!! The expertise of the team is evident in the finished product!
