I recently celebrated my son’s 9th birthday at Gel Tag SD’s east county location and it was a great experience from start to finish. The owner, Brandon, helped me book everything over the phone but you can also check availability online. He was incredibly helpful and easy to get in touch with when I had questions. During the party he was one of the referees alongside two others and they all did an amazing job keeping things fun for everyone. We booked for 12 kids but only ended up having 10 attend, so a few parents jumped in to play too. I could definitely see this getting competitive with an adult group! The gel balls didn't hurt, were pretty small, and didn’t stain our clothes. The kids were also provided with protective masks before playing. Everything felt safe. The 1.5 hour time slot was perfect. We had time for multiple games, a food break, some free play, and cake. During the “closing ceremony” my son was presented with a certificate and shirt. There were tables and bleacher style seating under a shaded canopy and we brought a few birthday decorations. My son and his friends had a blast. 10/10 experience! My only suggestion would be to add a sign closer to the street on Highway 80 since the location is a bit tucked away and many of us didn’t realize it was there.

Amazing! Gel Tag came for my son’s 9th birthday party in a park. They are very professional, great communicators, follow up very quickly and are genuinely very nice people. All the kids (and the parents who joined in) had a great time.

For a memorable birthday celebration suitable for children of various ages, I highly recommend Gel Tag San Diego. My son's 10th birthday party was held there, and the kids were absolutely thrilled upon discovering the activity. They were so engaged in the game that they did not want to pause for pizza and cake. It was truly a worthwhile experience, and I anticipate the kids will be talking about it enthusiastically at school. Also, Brandon's exceptional customer service significantly enhanced our experience.
