We had plans to pop in to another eatery for dinner, but it was a 30 min wait and we had tickets to a game. The eatery gave us a recommendation for Güero so we came here instead. They had just filled their last 4-top, but we were able to sit at the bar. Best spot in the house. Terrific cocktails, generous portions, and the carnitas torta was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I'll have to come back and try the hamburguesa torta, as the bartender said it was his favorite thing on the menu.

Great place with food that has lots of flavour. I have been there multiple times. Usually get the bowl or the hamburguesa which are great. Great place at any time of the year. In winter is specially cozy with candle lighting in the evening.

Sooooooooo good. The horchata is great. I got a rum floater on it and next time will have it neat on the side because of how epic the drink is without it. Michelada, never disappoints. The salsa has the perfect amount of kick (for Portland 🙃) and they cut two sandwiches in half for us so we could share two tortas. The carnitas, well flavored and the texture you want that balances so well with the toppings. The Ahogada is heavy and well seasoned and the cilantro really adds the bright kick it needs. The staff was there and we were watched carefully without being interrupted often which felt good. Great neighborhood spot and for us was a sacred trek across the city. Enjoy!
