I found Glide after bouncing around a bunch of group fitness gyms in San Diego, and it quickly became the one I actually stuck with. It has a great community and a smart workout structure that’s delivered real results. And the results speak for themselves, I’m in some of the best shape I’ve ever been in. What really sets Glide apart is how personal it feels. Classes are small, under 10-12 people, so you’re not just another body in the room. Josh, Lisa, and Tom genuinely pay attention; giving form cues, weight suggestions, and modifications when something feels off. Their backgrounds clearly lean into injury prevention and long-term progress. The vibe really sold me too. Early morning classes tend to be the same crew, which makes it easier to stay consistent (even for someone who’s the opposite of a morning person) and it feels more like a community than a typical group fitness gym. Add in the friendly dogs you might see around the gym and it just feels more human and less like a big corporate group fitness spot. If you want high quality training in a smaller, more personal setting, Glide is a great place to check out.
