Short answer to... "so you want to build the best spirits shop in the region?" Go to Gomer's of KC; take pics, take video, give the pics & video to your architect, contractor & interior designer. But a beautiful, well laid out facility with a large selection with clearly marked prices & "eye catching" 'On Sale stickers; is only part of it. You then fill it with friendly & knowledgeable staff. [I enjoy collecting & hunting for bourbon, whiskey, & rum/tequila aged in certain barrels. So my hobby takes me to a lot of liquor stores. This facility is top notch!] Is it worth the drive across the KC metro? Answer: it was worth the drive from Oklahoma to me!

This new location is spacious with a nice selection of beer, wine, and liquor. With the move to City Center I was unsure of the parking. Never fear, there is plenty of convenient parking.

Wow! This place is something special. My first time visiting and I was blown away. It was very clean, very well organized and the prices were great. I will be bringing my husband back to shop the enormous Bourbon and Scotch selection. I didn't get a chance to see the collectables but did check them out online. They have some amazing vintage items for the man cave. I'll be back!

Gomer's of Kansas has the best selection, the best price and the best people. Owners Steve and Kathy have poured their heart and soul into this store. You can tell a lot of thought and love was put into the design, layout and convenience . What does that translate into? A great shopping experience for the customer. As a whiskey and bourbon aficionado myself, their selection is unmatched. Add to that Gomer's of Kansas, "Wild Whiskey Friday's" which is a incredible weekly event where Whiskey Sommelier Chrissy Martin shares her knowledge and experience in great whiskey tastings, and did I mention for "Free". They are held in a great area upstairs called Gomer's Collectibles which has vintage collectibles sprinkled in between some great hard to find bourbon and whiskey bottles for sale. It's part museum, part store. I never had so much fun looking at all the collectibles and shopping at the same time. Next door is a classroom for tastings and education seminars that has space for over 50 people. Some liquor stores only care about their best customers. Gomer's of Kansas cares about their next customer. Everyone is treated as their best customer and they will give everyone the care and attention they need. Now that is what I call "Class."
