Good Day Pet Sitters has been a life saver! My dog is a large, Senior Great Dane/Pit mix. The level of care and sheer dedication to the animals is what makes this particular animal service business the absolute best. I was so worried leaving my dog alone for hours on end, and all of the walkers have made the process so smooth and easy. The app is easy to use, the communication is great, and all the walkers take wonderful pictures of my dog on his daily walks. I can honestly say I recommend Good Day Pet Sitters to everyone! They put my mind at ease and take such good care of my dog. They truly go above and beyond to make sure my dog is taken care of, including taking him to emergency and regular vet visits. We ADORE Wendy and the Good Day team! After years of failed pet sitting check ins for our cats (both in and outside of Texas) we finally found a company we can trust. In fact, we hired another local company for a few check ins prior to Good Day and we spent our week contacting that company to get an update on our cats! I was so frustrated and booked Good Day last minute to finish the visits while we were out of town and they were empathetic to our situation and squeezed us in to their schedule. So grateful! The team provides the best updates! They always send photos and very cute and detailed messages with every visit - we actually look forward to their updates because they make us laugh and feel comforted our cats are in good care. They are never generic updates, it’s always very unique to our cats’ personalities and that specific visit. We have also used Good Day for dog walking and even took advantage of their afternoon hike - Wendy came by to pick up our dog Manny and sent us an entire album of photos from their hike together! It’s a really special way to get some one on one time instead of sending your pup to daycare for the day! Scheduling is SO easy and they are affordable/on par with other pet sitting companies. We absolutely adore this team and highly recommend them
I absolutely love Good Day Pet Sitters! It can be very nerve-wracking leaving the care of your pup in someone else's hands, even if it's just to take them for a walk while you're away at work. The team at Good Day Pet Sitters does such an amazing job, that I'm left worry free. Always get great pictures and thorough updates about their visits with my precious pup and I always feel they take such great care of her! Would definitely recommend to anyone who has pet sitting needs! Additionally, they've always been super flexible when there needed to be a change in my usual schedule and had very competitive pricing for walk packages.
After much thought and deliberation, I am writing this as others should be aware of what we encountered. While under the care of Good Day Pet Sitting our dog, Zeus became ill and we came home to find him passed away. Please note our boy was older and that we notified Good Day prior to our leaving that he seemed to be not eating and that in the event he was to worsen we would need them to take him to the vet and we would rush home. On day two of our departure I recommended that Zeus be taken to the vet. When I did so the sitter stated that I would need to arrange that with the owner and expressed no urgency to seek emergency care. I was very concerned, but the sitter continued to state up until day 4 of our departure that he was acting normal although not eating much. The night of day 4 I received an instant message that Zeus was not getting up and seemed sluggish and unable to eat. At that point, out of frustration and a lack of confidence in Good Day I stated that we would rush home in the morning to tend to him and get him to the vet. On the morning of day 5 per instant message we received an update that Zeus was extremely worse, vomited and would hardly get up. At this point we were on our way home and I thought we could make it in time to take him to the vet. Once we arrive our Zeus had already passed away. I’m very disappointed because at no point did, we ever receive a phone call, nor did they have a sense of urgency to seek emergency care. When I called to report his departure, the owner stated that she was shocked and due to their heavy holiday load was not aware Zeus’s situation was so serious. Furthermore, they never ever express any sincerity that they could have done more to ensure a different outcome. This is unacceptable to us as we put the lives of our babies in their hands. Due to the situation we informed Good Day that we would like to terminate our relationship, explained our reasoning and that we would like our key back. After 18 days that included two instant messages, a voicemail and finally a third instant message that conveyed that we would like our key back or we would seek other means; we instantaneously received confirmation that our key would be returned along with a message that stated that they each thought that the other had returned it. We agree that there are things that we as owners could have done differently but we feel that had Good Day shown more urgency and acted once the emergency presented itself, we would have had a different outcome. This is not how a customer, or our pets should be treated. My hope is to inform customers to take caution as it seems they are overwhelmed and if your pet’s life is concerned it may not be taken into consideration.
Wendy and her team are so great! I travel so often for work and there have been a few last minute instances where Wendy has come to the rescue. I have someone come by to check on and feed my cat while I'm gone each day and the best part is they send pictures while they're there. Definitely recommend this service to give you peace of mind while you're away from your pet.
