Grape Creek Vineyards

We did a tour and tasting at Grape Creek Vineyards this weekend, and overall we felt it was a good value for the price of $45 per person. The short tram ride by the vines in the cool weather was really enjoyable and a nice way to start and finish the experience. We tasted four different wines inside the facility and then finished with a standing tasting where we each got to choose three wines from their tasting menu and sample their almonds as well. The woman leading our tasting was friendly, generous, and down to earth, which made that part of the experience especially pleasant. The only reason this isn’t a 5-star review is the pace of the tour. Wine is such a romantic and fun subject, and we were expecting the flow of the conversation and education to be a bit more relaxed. A good portion of the information felt rushed through, which took away from the overall atmosphere. That said, we would still definitely recommend checking it out. If you don’t want to do a shuttle service but still want to experience multiple wine stops at a vineyard (and not on Main Street), it’s an easy walk across the parking lot to Heath Sparkling Wines and makes for a great addition to the visit.

Our experience with Laurie during the taste and tour was nothing short of amazing! She provided thorough explanations of the winemaking process, covering everything from the initial stages to the final product. We had the unique opportunity to sample wines directly from the barrel, followed by a delightful tasting session after exploring the vineyard. We enjoyed the tour so much that we decided to become members of Grape Creek, taking advantage of the member perks right away. I highly recommend this experience!

We love Leilani & Grape Creek champagne !!! We had such an amazing experience thanks to Leilani! She served us our wine tasting with so much knowledge, genuine enthusiasm, and encouragement that we ended up joining the wine club on the spot. She’s friendly, informative, and makes you feel right at home from the moment you sit down. We come back every three months just to see Leilani and enjoy another round of Grape Creek wine because she makes every visit special. She is truly a gem and a huge asset to the winery. Highly recommend asking for her! 🍷✨

We spent a beautiful afternoon at Grape Creek Vineyards, and honestly, Larissa made it unforgettable! From the moment we sat down, she was full of energy, smiles, and genuine kindness. She didn’t just serve us — she made sure every detail was perfect: refilling glasses right on time, recommending her favorite wines (which were spot on!), and checking on us just enough to make us feel pampered but never rushed. The best part? She became our unofficial photographer and took the most spectacular pictures — seriously, they look like something out of a magazine! 📸🍇 Larissa went above and beyond, and that kind of service deserves to be celebrated. We left happy, relaxed, and already planning our next visit back to Grape Creek. Thank you, Larissa, for your wonderful energy, kindness, and for making our wine day one to remember! David was absolutely wonderful! The quality of the wines Grape Creek has - and everyone was rather knowledgeable of their processes and history. We were NOT buying another membership but we did. Only suggestion is that you try the wine before you try the sparkling wines. Jason sounds like a really good, competent, and award-winning vinologist. We will probably always stop at Grape Creek and their ?sister wineries whenever we come to Fredericksburg. A MUST DO. I think if you join one and you’re a member of most of them!
