I don’t know much about trees/plants, so I started my search and planned to visit several garden centers to learn my options for the backyard. My very first stop was Green Gate—and honestly, there was no need to go anywhere else. The level of service and depth of knowledge completely exceeded my expectations. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and helped me feel confident about choosing the right tree for my space. I was so impressed by the experience that I won’t be visiting any other garden centers. Green Gate has set the bar incredibly high. A high five to Julie and Jen

I had fabulous customer service at Greengate Garden Centres last week. I phoned ahead to confirm the plant I wanted was available. When I arrived Julie was in the Trees and Shrubs area and helped me choose 2 plants. What a super positive lady! She found me an appropriate trolly and took the plants to the desk while I shopped a little longer. I found a lovely Yucca, a plant my husband has wanted recently. The lady who helped me was also very kind and helpful and carried my plant to the till. Then a delightful young man carefully put my three large plants into my car. From my phone call with Julie to the young man my experience was Five Star. The store itself is lovely too with lots of interesting garden ornaments. Thank you GGC for a super afternoon 🤗

The birds are happy and the selection at greengate was fantastic. I had been looking around and found very little options that didn't include fountains. I was pleased to pull up to greengate and see a large selection of unique birdbaths out front. Staff was very knowledgable and helpful. Unexpected bonus: There system that has staff members load my bags of river rocks into my vehicle.

This is the first time I have to revise a review. It seems that I was short-sighted in my last review. The last time I came here was in winter, and the prices were very high, which led to a bad impression of this place. But when I came here again this time, I changed my mind. This time, the parking lot was not empty like in winter, but this time it was crowded! As for the price, there are no unreasonable prices like in winter, but a variety of novel plants. But it is not recommended to buy decorations, tools, and crafts here (it is still expensive, although all garden centers are expensive). And the outdoor area is also open, and many people buy trees here. In short, it is really much better here than in winter 😀! ^o^

Update Jan 2021, I've visited 6 more times since my last review, as I am weekly in the area. While the floor staff are helpful (around Christmas and after), I find the ladies at the till, very unfriendly. It doesn't matter what time a day or what day I go, they just seem like they don't want to provide any friendliness to their customers whatsoever. I had talked to the lady manager once too, and I see where they get their training from. Older review: Less selection in between Christmas and spring but to be expected. I was wanting to buy a $130 wind chime (wood special made) but it was hanging up & none in boxes. I couldn’t find anyone to help me out. They have a good selection still but not much for discounted items. I may have stopped later in the day, but most staff was just waiting to leave. I’ve purchased items I really like here. Probably better to go in the morning or daytime. I didn’t feel too welcomed there. It’s convenient on my way home so I stop by. But I’ve been to plenty of other garden centres with more help & advice & friendliness. Convenient location.
