I just took my dog for a full grooming appointment and will not be going back. The staff were friendly but the actual cut my chipoo receieved was terrible. It was uneven all over his body and his face was left choppy and uneven as well. I asked for it to be fixed and they attempted by going right at him in the lobby area and snipped around until it was decent. Grooming is not a cheap service so I’m just really disappointed with the skill level here, would not recommend.

Unfortunately I will not be giving Groomingdale's any more of my business, after using them repetitively since we moved nearby last year.
On 10/7, I texted to set an appointment. The message began with "Unfortunately, my earliest appointment isn't until the 23rd..." - Fine. "Unfortunately" is not a good word to use in customer service, but that's OK. I also asked to be put on the cancellation list in case there was a last minute availability between now and then.
Flash forward to today, 10/23, and I show up with my dog. Lo and behold, they did not schedule me on 10/7, because "I only asked to be put on the cancellation list." Honestly, I can see where the miscommunication happened even if I don't agree with it. The issue is that, not only were they passive aggressive to me about it over text (screenshots included), they were even more aggressive about it in person when I went to pick up my dog. Doubling down on why she did not schedule me, and raising her voice over me when I tried to provide my perspective.
At the end of the day, I could care less if you're the best groomer in the world. I work in customer service myself and at NO point would I ever think about treating a repeat customer like this. I did not need them to be overly apologetic or take the blame, but to not even attempt an apology of any kind (even after I offered my own) is a complete and utter lack of customer service.

kind of unprofessional experience. i took my cat for a nail trim and it seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing….my cat got freaked out by a dog that was barking super loudly and scratched one of the workers (ur a groomer…it happens) and they didn’t get to his bottom paws (which was fine until they charged me the full amount for only half of the job……..). after my cat was freaked out they let me know that they usually take cats to their designated cat room to prevent situations like that. it honestly left me confused because they didn’t mention it at all prior? why would you have that room but not give my cat the option to have his trim there? especially after i inform you that he’s really shy….this place is a big pass, go somewhere more professional!

I have taken all of my dogs to Groomingdale’s and always had a wonderful experience. The staff is so caring and genuine. Most recently, I took my new puppy by for a nail trim and overheard them singing “You are my sunshine” to comfort him. They are so sweet and do an excellent job!

Loved this place at first but eventually realized you can get better elsewhere. I have a very anxious dog and at first they were nice but after a while it seemed like bringing my dog in bother them. Tried a different groomer and his new groomer said he was beyond well behaved which surprised me because I was always told that he was “difficult”.
