Yuanchen is truly a gem of a teacher! She is warm and gentle, the children absolutely love her. She has spent many years in childcare and understand the developmental needs of young children. As a teacher, she is a wonderful communicator, often working with parents to help with milestones such as potty training and managing sleep schedules. If a spot opens, RUN, and sign up!

I am forever grateful to Yuanchen and the warm, loving teachers at Happy Garden for helping my daughter truly blossom under their care. If I had two words to describe her before she went at 18 months, it'd be: nonverbal, nonsocial. After just one month of being there, her vocabulary exploded (both Mandarin and English), and she has a best friend she runs out of the house (literally) to see everyday. We are six months in and this is one of the best parenting decisions we've ever made. If you are looking for an in-home daycare that's Mandarin Immersion, led by the nicest humans alive who are constantly and proactively thinking about how to feed children's curiosity, happiness, and learning, look no further. We are so loathe to enroll her into school with her older brother at Presidio Knolls because we love the close proximity to our home, the caring environment, and how much the kids all get along and help each other grow (I really like the mixed ages). Logistically - the fact that they have homecooked food and I don't need to pack any meals is super helpful too - and Happy Garden has WAY less holidays / school closures than 99% of daycares I looked at. Anyway, parenting is hard enough without being worried about your childcare situation. I have not worried one single bit since she's been here, and quite the opposite given her incredible growth in a short amount of time. She is so happy here and we are happy to be part of the Happy Garden community.
