I have taken many improv classes over the years and recently took an intermediate improv class with Jessilee to get back into it. Jessilee is a superb teacher; her class is well organized, thoughtful, and fun. I highly recommend Windhau Improv!
If you’ve ever wondered why people find improv valuable, give Jessilee the chance to answer that question with you. Personally, I credit Jessilee with helping me rekindle a childhood interest in not just performing arts, but play for its own sake. Both performative ability and the inspiration to make things more fun have served me well in work and life, on and off stage. Whether you’re looking to add more joy to your life, trying to ease anxieties about the social aspects of work, or looking to grow your performance art abilities, Jessilee’s supportive teaching and coaching style are well calibrated to help you get the most out of improv, whatever that means for you.
I had so much fun doing a two-day improv intensive at Windhaus Improv! Jessilee is not only a talented improv performer in her own right, but she is also a skilled teacher, and I'm happy with how much improv knowledge I have retained from what she has taught me over the last year. She also puts students at ease by making the space welcoming and encouraging to all. The WJ Geery Theatre where we practiced is a comfortable place to perform, and it's in the heart of Midtown, which is a vibrant part of the city. If you're like me, you will have a lot of fun at Windhaus Improv, learn some really cool games (and skills), and feel very much at ease (even if you're an introvert).
The Improv Squad of the Elk Grove Senior Center attended Jessilee's three hour class this week. Wow! I wish I could give her 10 stars! Not only was it fun, it gave us a thorough mental workout. We left feeling energized and excited about future classes with Jessilee.
We had a quick 3-hour improv workshop at the Geery Theater with Jessilee yesterday and we had so much fun! Jessilee was so professional and she taught us many useful skills and tricks for improv performance. We did many exercises together and it really gets your brain working. We learned performing skills and team interaction skills. I believe improv lessons and exercises can help to prevent seniors from getting Alzheimer's disease because it provides us opportunities to interact with team members and respond to unforeseen circumstances in a timely manner. I strongly recommend Windhaus Improv to anyone who enjoys laughs in their lives. Brenda
