Visited early evening on a Friday. Booked table unnecessarily. Courteous but slow service. Generally agreeable food. Non alcoholic cocktails bland. Prices reasonable.

Everything tasted fresh, authentic and full of soul. If you’re craving real Mexican flavors in Melbourne, this place is a must. I ordered the Chimichurri Chicken Burrito and the Al Pastor Burrito – both were packed with juicy, well-seasoned meat, fresh herbs, sweet corn, onion, and perfectly toasted tortillas. The chimichurri adds a fresh, herby twist, while the al pastor has that classic smoky-sweet, slightly spicy flavor that’s so comforting. To drink, I had a horchata drink with cinnamon and a sugared rim – lightly sweet, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. The only downside was that it had a bit too much ice, so it felt like there was more ice than drink.

Visited Hecho en Mexico on the last day of December with a group of three. We ordered cocktails along with a variety of food, including appetisers. Dishes included the fish tacos, ramen, and several quesadillas. The food itself was very tasty and enjoyable at the time, and everything we tried was well flavoured and nicely presented. However, unfortunately all three of us experienced lingering stomach aches for around three days afterwards. This could simply be down to sensitive stomachs, but it was not something we would want to experience again and did take away from the overall experience.

I had a chicken paella. The food was excellent, was served on a hot plate and was sizzling hot. Great presentation and mouth watering taste! SO GOOD! Really friendly service despite closing time

One of my favorite Mexican eateries in Melbourne. The food is AMAZING here, I mean look at the flavour on that corn. Delicious drinks too, I love the horchata. And great service and atmosphere. 5/5 all round
