The selection was great. However it was the knowledge and staff that really shines. I'd been to Guitars r Us (you can figure out who is down the road) and we were ignored and the advice was generic at best. Luke however here at Heidi was excellent. He asked questions I had thought of, listened to what I was aspiring to do and made several recommendations. He showed me a few guitars and then left me alone to fiddle with which one felt right for my large hands. When he returned I had more questions that were probably very basic, but he answered them all and even made suggestions. This is the kind of experience I like having when I want to spend money on a new hobby. The other place made me feel like the complete beginner that I am and even had me questioning if I should even pick up this hobby. Luke however was very encouraging and assured me that with the right amount of practice I'd me playing in no time. 8 can't recommend this store or it's staff enough!!

Hadn’t been in a while and was pleasantly surprised to see that they’ve greatly expanded their drum/percussion adjacent section. luke was very helpful on giving in depth description as well as good conversation. also well priced good quality drums.

I went to Heid to get a setup for two of my guitars. Christopher very kind, professional, and courteous. He offered suggestions, wisdom, and worked with me to get my electric feeling just right. The store itself was pleasant and clean, and the staff were all helpful. Heid is definitely my store of choice now.

I took my son to Heid Music in Madison to shop for an electric bass guitar. Luke was the music enthusiast who helped us, and he did a wonderful job showing us their great selection. He thoroughly explained how to get different sounds with the knobs and ways of playing the instrument, and how the different basses compare, depending on what you want. This was so helpful, given that my son is a beginner. Luke answered all our questions and gave my son ample time to try out the bass. He even provided headphones, so my son could try it without feeling self-conscious. Luke was very patient and friendly, giving the store a comfortable atmosphere. The bass we chose is great quality and at a reasonable price. Heid Music had everything else we needed, too, like the amp, cables, headphones, tuner, and all of it was good quality. Luke also mentioned they can restring the bass and do other maintenance, if need be, down the line. We highly recommend Heid Music, and ask for Luke!

The best music store to be honest. They’ve helped me pick out a beginner’s electric guitar and amp (which I love), and also gave me advice on recommendations for my friends. Highly highly recommend 🤘
