I had a china cabinet done here a few years ago. I asked that they have it ready in 8 weeks as it was a surprise for my mother in law. Well they got it almost done and delivered it in time, saying that they would take it back after her weekend visit and finish it properly. They did that and it took 3 months to get it back after that (and finally a threat to sue them). I recently thought, maybe that was a one off and so went to see them about getting a table top done. Their estimate, 6-8 weeks! That's to sand and refinish a 3.5x5 foot table top. They also said that they would "have to fit it in between jobs". These guys don't know customer service, and they are far from inexpensive for their work. My suggestion, shop around.

I left a wood and leather MCM dining chair for a simple repair in 2023. I checked on it a couple times, always got a different excuse. Over two months later, they still hadn't started, so I brought it home. Found another shop, excellent work, on time and almost half the price. **Response to owner**: No, not confusing it with another business. It was Henderson. I got a written quote in Feb. 2023. Dropped off chair in March 2023 and picked up in May 2023 (work not completed). Number on PDF estimate emailed to me: 3ae93b26. Last email (May 2023) was from a person named Rod. If I could attach a file, I'd include a screenshot of estmate.

These folks were great. Had the legs on two wood stools repaired. They were easy to deal with, the service was fast, and the quality of the work seems solid (time will tell). They have a huge workshop and seem to be a full service kind of place. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I need furniture repaired.

I needed a repair for the crown on my buffet hutch that was to tall for a nook in our new home. We brought the piece in and a young lady said she didn’t think they could do the work. I asked to speak to someone who would actually be doing the work. The gentleman said he could do it but would not guarantee his work. He said one hour of work and a bit of time for the touch up. The young lady’s quote was $334.00. 1 hour for repair and 2 hours for touch up. We felt this was unreasonable but she insisted it was a 2 hr touch up. We brought it to an Ottawa Furniture Repair shop. 45 mins for repair 15 mins for touch up. They did an unbelievably wonderful job. You would never know it had been repaired. Cost $90! So look around before you pay.

We have used Henderson several times over the past 15 years and have always been impressed with their workmanship. However, they were not always responsive and timely. That seems to have been corrected under the new management. We needed to have a customer's footboard repaired and this was done to perfection, at a very reasonable cost, and was ready for pick-up the next day. I am very impressed with their efficiency, quality of service, professionalism, and the cost.
