Went in to discuss why our four plants died within 14 days of purchase. We planted them as instructed by their staff. But the old man there was defensive from the start and far too intent on making me feel incompetent. No hint of wanting to resolve the issue or offer a discount on a re-purchase . In open shop spoke down to me . Making a customer feel incompetent is not the trait of a customer caring business . Plants will be replaced by a purchase elsewhere!!!!
Today a staff member helped bring everything to my car. So kind thank you
Unfortunately won't be ever shopping there again because of the service, or lack there of, that I received today from a staff member. Very disappointing as Im a local and have always loved shopping there over the years. Older lady with glasses...all too much effort for her ... she was extremely abrupt and ill tempered throughout the shopping experience...with me only asking her a couple of questions and going through the check out with a small number of items. I left feeling totally depleted by her negative energy. Luckily a lovely young staff member, cheerfully helped carry my items out to the car...she was very gracious and extremely polite in contrast. This is the first negative review I've ever written but felt strongly moved to write this as so effected by the disrespectful behaviour shown.
A huge place considering it's near the city. It's a beautiful place with a large selection of plants - fruit trees, ornamental trees, ferns, native, succulents, subtropical and more. Coffee and such are available as well.
Even the signs said so, I still couldn't believe this nursery in Beulah Park is 156 years old. Anyway, the oldest continuous private business that I ever visited was the Macquarie Arms Hotel in Windsor, NSW 2756. It was built in 1815, 210 years old now. I visited Heyne's Garden today when passed by, so just for browsing without purchase. It's huge inside the open nursery area once I passed-through the indoor shop area. There were plenty of plants, flowers, pots, soils, nutrients and various accessories, etc. All the items, including the pots and plants for sale, had been clearly and properly labelled. It's close to my home, so I would probably come back again later to buy something that I may need to decorate my new home when necessary.
