We saw that this place was listed as a recommended place by Food Network. Although it was hard to find parking and expensive to park in a parking lot, this place was definitely worth the trip. The ambience of the place was fun and the workers were casual. Our server was great. I ordered a single burger and my fiancé ordered a double with bacon both burgers or massive. We also ordered onion rings. It goes without saying it took us forever to make our way through our burgers, but we had so much fun doing it and trying the different beers on tab. The beef was fresh and everything was amazing if your burger lover I highly recommend this as a regular stop.

WOW! The Guido is one of the best burger that I have ever had. If I go back to San Diego, I am stopping at Hodad's. The burger is so juicy, meaty, and flavorful. It is mouthwatering and nearly perfect. The combination of pickles, grilled onions, pastrami, and the patty just melt in your mouth. The ketchup and mustard add nicely to an already amazing burger.

We visited this place on a whim. Didn't look into it before hand. Just basically googled burgers near us and we were like ten minutes away in car. Once we got there and did some more research (while looking at the menu) it appears this 'franchise' is very popular in the area. And honestly, the burgers we ordered were so good, it's no wonder its a local favorite. One of the best burgers I have ever had and would visit here many times if I lived in the city. I would recommend this place if you are hungry and looking for a good hardy burger to enjoy. Place was super busy but ordering/getting our food went pretty fast. Staff was super friendly and helpful with the menu and we are glad we visited. Parking is a bit tricky, there is some street parking but more then likely you will have to find a spot in a parking garage nearby. It's in downtown so super busy area. Will definitely find myself here again if I am ever back in SD!

I arrived for a pretty late lunch since I was in the area for a conference and have been meaning to try out Hodads. I came around 3 PM on a Monday and there was no one else in the shop but me which meant I got super quick service. I opted for the single cheeseburger with onion rings and a Dr. Pepper. The burger was pretty good and the onion rings were amazing. It was definitely worth the 20 minute walk that it took to get there. I'd go back in the future just for the onion rings alone! The best part is that they give you 2 stickers at the end of your meal! I'm pretty sure you're supposed to stick the stickers on the walls of the establishment somewhere but I wanted to take mine.

Stopped in while visiting the area to get a burger and I'm glad that I did. I ordered a single patty bacon cheese burger which was more than enough for me along with onion rings. Both items were delicious and the service was great. If you're looking for a good burger you can't go wrong with this spot.
