Lindsay is an absolutely AMAZING instructor and a superb coach, with a profound knowledge of body dynamics. She has multiples of all of the standard Pilates equipment, plus some additional newer additions, in a beautiful, airy light-filled studio. I'm currently in weekly small class sessions (3 students), tailored specifically to our common age, early- to mid-70s. The focus is on strength, balance, and flexibility, with special attention to osteoporosis requirements. It's fabulous.

I first had Lindsay as an instructor over 10 years ago when I took her class called "Movement for Life", and I loved how she taught a variety of stretches and movements that translated directly to everyday physical functionality, ergonomics and longevity - they are tools I have used ever since. When the class ended, I missed it, and then a couple of years ago I noticed she had opened a Pilates studio in my area; I was deep in some major life transitions at the time and didn't think I could add any other obligations to my plate... Hindsight is 20/20, and in retrospect, I wish I'd sought her out again sooner! I started reformer Pilates with her about 6 months ago, and I am HOOKED. I have also taken and really enjoyed her mat classes. Her space is beautiful and calming, and she is incredibly knowledgeable about the history and the "why" behind Classical Pilates not to mention the body itself. She provides personalized attention and cues while keeping in mind each student's individual body type and their needs and goals. There's a reason so many of her students have been working with her for as long as they have been. Physically, I have less pain in areas that have bothered me for years, more range of motion, and increasing awareness of how modern life (computers, desk-sitting, our phone use, etc.) is contributing to a decline in how well we age and in addition to how to combat it. I recently had wrist surgery, and I honestly can say that I know my body would not have has been as well prepared for the surgery and also would not have healed as well as it has without her care and guidance. TLDR: go see Lindsay! You won't regret it! I couldn't recommend it more.

Lindsay and I grew up together and I can honestly say not only is she a great person who truly cares about people, but she’s also amazing at what she does. Even after a few sessions my low back pain started to improve. She gives me 1-2 simple at home exercises that I actually do! The studio is nice, clean and welcoming and parking is easy. Whether you're just getting started with Pilates or have been doing it for years I would highly recommend checking out Hometown Pilates!!
