I've been taking vocal and ukulele lessons at Horizon since 2023 and it's been a great decision. They're such a supportive space and I would definitely recommend them! My usual teacher, Teresa, is an incredible instructor and I can't say enough good things about her classes! As an adult beginner, taking musical lessons was very intimidating for me at first. But Teresa has been nothing short of supportive and encouraging from the very beginning, and her infectious sense of humour and kind attitude really helped me get over my fear! I also appreciate how she's flexible with my classes and helps work with me to customize my classes based on my learning goals and tailoring warmup exercises to my individual voice challenges. The school itself also provides some great free additional group classes and other learning opportunities if you take regular classes there. Nothing but good things to say, thank you Horizon and Teresa! :)

Horizon is much more than a music school. It is a community; and it has been incredibly motivating more me. I have been with Horizon for a year now, and it has been the most enjoyable and engaging learning experience I have found yet. And a special thanks to my instructor, Andrew Balboa! Looking forward to another rewarding year in 2026.

Taking guitar lessons with Dom has been such a transformative and rewarding experience. Dom is able to personalize my lessons perfectly, tending to my specific learning style and musical interests. I always leave feeling so inspired and with exciting new knowledge. Music finally makes sense!!! I’m so lucky to have found the community at Horizon. The bluegrass jam’s are my highlight every month. I also had the chance to take a few voice lessons with Rocky this past year, whose specific feedback and encouragement brought my confidence and technique to the next level! Thank you Horizon!

I've loved taking drum lessons with Julia for the last six months! I've gotten to play a bunch of fun songs and I love how much progress I feel myself making with each lesson. She's a fantastic teacher, and it's been really easy to book classes. Highly recommend!

After having tried to learn guitar on and off for well over a decade through various online courses and via YouTube without a ton of structure and overall mediocre success, I finally took the plunge and called Horizon School of Music to inquire about lessons. I couldn't be happier and honestly wish I would have done it way sooner. From my very first inquiry they were super supportive and helpful. They took the time to ask me my musical interests and goals and then made sure that I was given options for instructors and matched with the right teacher. I'm in my forties (😭), I work out of town for two weeks at a time, we just had a new baby boy and even though I have extremely limited time they have absolutely over delivered in every way possible for me to succeed. On my first lesson, I felt nerve wracked leading up to this. They met me at the door to make sure I was made welcomed to the school and introduced me to my instructor Danny. (He's sooo good and such a great person) I've done 9 lessons since I started and I've already learned more guitar with Danny in 5 months than I ever did on my own. I can't stress enough how great this place is. If you're considering that it's time to take lessons, DO IT! Don't Wait. This is the place. You can thank me later.
