HOT MAT class with KIA god, i did not know how much i needed this class. my first time at hot house and i left feeling so much lighter than when i arrived. a mix of dance, yoga, and Pilates but nothing like you’ve ever experienced. so much encouragement radiating off of Kia, I was giggling and laughing and smiling throughout, and ended the class with tears of gratefulness and days of stress rolling down my face. I cannot express how amazing this class was. It relieved so much tension from my body it was insane. Thanks hot house!

During my rental and during me pratcing my routine a staff member came in to ask if I had ever rented the studio space this late. I explained that I had not, and she proceeded to give me instructions on how the closing of the studio goes. However, I did not realize at the time that she was asking me to take on the full responsibility and liability of closing up the studio. As a non-member and non-employee, I assumed she was simply letting me know the process we would be following together as the space closed for the evening. It was only after my time was done I realized I was alone in the studio. This was very stressful, as I had not agreed to this role and had no walk through. Again as someone who is not employed I would have never assumed I would be asked something so inappropriate and dangerous. During the time I was alone there, the studio was unlocked, building unlocked both front and back entry. I was left to my own defenses alone if someone came into the studio. In the future, I strongly request that non-staff/non long term members should not be asked to take on closing responsibilities nor left alone in studio. This situation placed me in a very uncomfortable, dangerous and unfair position. I texted and called the number provided on site during bussiness hours aka before 11pm and waited for a response but never got one till 2pm next day letting me know I closed up correctly. Edit: their response online is "While we try to be fully staffed at our desk as much as possible, it sounds like that didn’t happen during your rental, and we apologize." Im responding bc unlike the management/owner, I care about safety of the ppl there and the small bussiness. Again NO STAFF was in the studio while I was there. A more appropriate, safe and understandable solution than an apology ,seems obvious to me. If you dont have the staff that day for times(morning noon or night), thoses who are renting the space, should get a call/text/email the customer for a reschedule. Its far more reasonable to reschedule or refund this service than risking a liability lawsuit, media scandal, ect if someone gets hurt/robbed or worse due to reasonable forseeable negligence on the businesses part.

This is your neighborhood studio with a wide range of excellent classes. I do cardio dance, Arabic (belly dancing), ballet, and a variety of hip-hop classes where you learn fun combos to wow your friends in the clubs. Highly recommended!

I’ve only taken beginner hip hop here, but it has always been fun, and there is a lot of patience for those of us who lack rhythm :). The space is really nice too!
