I can't recommend Four Seasons Dance Studio enough!! My husband and I decided to do dance lessons just 1 week before our wedding. We had 2 lessons, one each with Rebecca and Bruce. Neither of us have any prior dance training, but with their incredible work we felt prepared (and excited!) for our first dance! Rebecca was remarkable - during just one lesson, she created and taught us an entire routine to our chosen song, and even video recorded us practicing (with her helpful commentary) on our phone, so we could refer back to it during the week as we practiced alone. We booked a 2nd lesson with her husband, and Bruce was also wonderful! He helped me be less concerned about the "counts" and taught us how to flow naturally if/when we made a "mistake," building my husband's confidence leading and mine following. That peace of mind helped us go into the dance with no stress. Our dance was perfect the night of and most importantly, felt like us. We're so grateful for Rebecca and Bruce's willingness to accommodate so last-minute (during the holidays!) to make our first dance and wedding day special. Book them - seriously!! My (now) husband and I took the couples dance classes (4 sessions to prepare for first dance at a wedding) with Rebecca. It made us so much more confident during our first dance! Rebecca is extremely helpful and the class was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend Four Seasons Dance Studio!
Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. My husband and I were in crunch time to get a nice (nothing crazy) dance down for our wedding. We started at an Arthur Murray studio and after it taking 4 classes to even get an idea of what our full dance would look like, my husband had been taking classes here with his mom for their dance. Needless to say we switched over and Bruce opened up his schedule for us on a Saturday and Sunday two weeks before our wedding, and we had an awesome dance after just two lessons. He was so easy to work with and so helpful. Our dance was wonderful and I will never go to another commercial studio like we started at! Thank you thank you thank you Bruce!!
When my wife and I first got engaged we both knew that we wanted our first dance to be more adventurous. We are both pretty musically inclined and my wife is in a couple of dance groups. We wanted our dance to be challenging enough that we both had to work towards learning it (dancing is great team building!). We contacted Rebecca from Four Seasons about 9 months prior to our wedding and scheduled a few lessons with her. It didn’t take long to figure out that we made the right decision. Rebecca was great to work with. She helped us choreograph and learn a dance to the song we selected that was fun, yet challenging, but not so challenging that we couldn’t learn it in the time before the wedding. Rebecca did a lot of the choreography, but still made sure to get our input and make the dance still felt like “us”. In addition to working with us as a couple, she also helped us figure out some dance options to the music we chose for our respective parental dances. We even substituted one of our couple dance lessons so that my mom and I could have a lesson to our music. When the wedding came and it was time for our first dance as a married couple, we felt prepared. The dance went great and we still receive compliments from our guests on the dance months after the wedding. It was a dance we, and our guests, won’t forget and we owe it to Rebecca’s great instruction. You won’t regret working with her for a minute. We can’t wait to work with her on learning other styles of dance! PC: Liz Marie Photography
I have always had a fear of dancing due to just never having really understood it or given it an honest try. In an effort to face that fear, I came to Four Seasons for a four-hour blues dancing workshop hosted by a local dance collective called Collectively Blue. I registered for the event ahead of time, which was quite straight forward aside from a simple technical issue, and interaction with the organizer during the process was very positive. Unfortunately, I arrived late to the workshop, but the organizer quickly and very graciously worked with me to get me up to speed. This small gesture meant a great deal, and really helped to build both my confidence and fundamental skillset. I am not sure how I would have fared without this help. After I had caught up, I entered into the main group, and we proceeded to go through very basic building blocks to Blues Dancing. The lessons consisted of a demonstration/explanation of the concept or move, followed by practice with a partner (we rotated to a new partner each time). There were all sorts of personal, fun touches as well, such as high fives during rotations, a great deal of humor and socializing, and general comraderie. The instructors, Laney and Eryn, were extremely patient and helpful, and did an excellent job of demonstrating as well as stepping in to help guide us as we applied what they had taught. Overall, the atmosphere and attitude was just... Natural and approachable. My fear/self-conscious evaporated almost instantly, and I found myself grinning like a fool by the end of the workshop, enjoying what little I had been able to learn in such a short period of time. The space itself was perfect as well; there is a sitting room area immediately upon entering, and then the main studio is comprised of several lounge areas and a large, well maintained floor. There is also a secondary studio in the back, with restrooms in between. The layout and spaced worked very well for the workshop, and I found myself very comfortable and content in the space. I plan to attend the weekly blues dancing courses taught by this excellent group, and would highly recommend that anyone interested in learning to dance check into the courses taught by this group and/or at this studio (there are many more options for other types of dance as far as I could tell), regardless of skill level or experience.
