It seems like each block is run by a different operator. I'm not particularly interested in vintage clothing to begin with, but unlike Japanese vintage shops, American vintage shops are truly impressive. I visited several other vintage shops, but this one was the most enjoyable to browse. I usually get a dust allergy when I enter Japanese vintage shops, but this shop was fine. However, they don't seem to be taking any precautions, so it might have been a fluke... As other reviews mention, the prices are undeniably high. When I asked Chappy if the price was reasonable while describing the clothes, he said it was quite a bold pricing strategy. Furthermore, in this age of cashless payments, they charge a separate credit card fee. The receipt I received only showed the amount before the credit card fee was added. It's a mystery why they don't issue a receipt showing the total payment amount including the fee. If they revised their pricing and improved the payment processing fees, I would give this shop more stars.

Most of the clothing items are cheap, polyester, dry rotted, stained, and ripped. They had mentioned in a previous comment that they do not set the prices and the vendors sell the clothes, but the house of vintage does rarely has any real or actually vintage clothes in general. These "vendors" will sell dry rotted shein scraps for 30-50 dollars. Often times leaving the original shein or Walmart brand tags, and putting a 100 dollar price tag on it. As I was in the changing room I had overheard one older white lady (who I assume was the supervisor/manager) complaining to the employees that the store was annoyingly "too organized". Mind you the whole shop is a total mess. Many of the good reviews even mention how unorganized the shop is. There is little to no "sorting" or "color coordinating" at all. After this, she stood at the check out counter for 15 minutes, loudly complaining to her employee how tired she was. She also would not stop lecturing customers. One girl went to get her bag out of the locker, and she sternly told her that she needs to keep her bag in the locker even if she's just going to grab her wallet and pay. Immediately as new customers stepped in the door, she was yelling at them from across the shop to put their bags away. After I left the dressing room, I came upon a zip up jacket a couple feet away from room that I had just left. As I unzipped the jacket, this lady walked over to me and told me "there is a mirror in the dressing rooms right there actually" and pointed at the dressing room. I said thank you as she walked away. When I put one arm into the jacket to see if the sleeves were long enough, she came back over to me and said " we actually prefer you use the dressing room to try things on". Nearby observing customers had mentioned how anal/ unreasonable she was. This lady had made the whole experience at the House of vintage incredibly overstimulating and demeaning. Definitely would advise any people looking for a peaceful thrift day to skip this place.
