As a wedding photographer, the Humble House Gallery is one of the most unique and beautiful locations for events I've ever attended! My clients decided to hold their wedding ceremony here, and having a celebration surrounded by antique furniture and contemporary art was such a vibe. Their wide space for exhibitions proved to be a fantastic venue for a wedding, where the guests could enjoy the special day and look at brilliant artworks simultaneously. What's more, my clients' love story has now become part of this shop and its pieces' history, and that's definitely a way to make a statement about their wedding! So, I strongly recommend the Humble House Gallery to couples wanting that artistic ambience!

Yes, there were some beautiful pieces. However, I was not able to view them in peace. As soon as I walked in the door, the proprietor approached me to ask if I'd been before, I replied with a "No". She then proceeded to talk *at me* incessantly as I politely smiled but slowly edged away from her to look at other items. She was either not able to read my body language as I moved away or her desire to talk at me was so intense that she didn't care that I wanted something else. I kept waiting for a polite moment to be able to say I just wanted to look around. Unfortunately she did not ask me any questions, nor did she pause in her soliloquy to allow me to express my desire. Eventually I just interupted her by saying "Excuse me, but I would prefer ..." And she just talked more loudly. I'm an assertive person with a loud voice, so I out-shouted her saying "I just want a chance to look around" So she left and didn't come anywhere near me again. Sadly, after taking the balance between the beauty of the pieces with my irritation at the proprietor, I have decided not to visit again.

Usually a great place for the ancient and contemporary side by side but they were in between exhibitions so we enjoyed what they had, had a considerable chat with the owners and went on our way. Well worth a visit to this eclectic space to see some of the most amazing Chinese artifacts and some beautiful modern art.

Peaceful setting. Many items on regular display to explore. Hidden gem in Fyshwick. I visited friends' exhibition there and was very impressed with the gallery. The displays were beautifully organised not to mention the paintings and sculptures of the presenting artists. I will definitely visit this place again to check on antiques and to explore future exhibitions even if it's a bit too far away from where I live. It's definitely worth it.

What a lovely antique shop and gallery! We spent quite a bit of time there and ended up buying a few things (painting and lamps). Owners are absolutely lovely people and it was a pleasure to have a chat with them. If you are after antique Chinese things, lamps, sculptures and paintings then it’s certainly the place to visit.
