I’m extremely disappointed with this venue. We attended a wedding this weekend and the bridal party was told that we could leave our valuables and personal belongings in a room during cocktail hour, photos, and the wedding reception. This room was left unlocked, and this resulted in two wallets being stolen and charged not long after. This put a huge damper on everyone’s experience. I know it is a crazy situation, but it could have been prevented- maybe starting by having cameras that access each corner. It was not possible to see accurately who entered this room. It changed the dynamic of a VERY special night. I understand this is a public workspace, but if it’s going to be left open to the public during a private event, measures need to be taken to ensure this doesn’t happen. Edit: The cameras were checked, and not all angles were accessible of the room our belongings were in. There may not be physical evidence but I can ensure that we arrived with our wallets in our bags, and discovered they were missing about 3 hours later. After left unattended in an unlocked room. Additionally, the bride and groom requested the wedding serve two specific beverages and neither were available until requested again during the wedding. Lastly, the setup was peculiar. Many of the tables were left around the corner from the dance floor so lots of people missed out on viewing the first dances and bridal party entry after the ceremony. The sound was spotty and it was very hard to hear speeches because of the echoing. Lots of marks missed for such an expensive venue. Truly a shame because it’s such a beautiful space.

One of the best co-working spaces in Tampa. Excellent location above Armature Works and great view out of the offices. Easy access to food, fine dining, and only several minute drive to the interstates.

While Hyde House is undeniably a beautiful venue, our experience trying to plan our wedding there was deeply disappointing—and costly. We ultimately lost our $6,000 deposit despite giving ample notice and genuinely trying to work with them to find a reasonable alternative. We initially signed a contract for a wedding but soon realized the venue didn’t align with our needs. Our event was intimate, and the entire month of our scheduled date remained completely open—they had no other events booked. We reached out in good faith, asking to scale down and repurpose the deposit for a smaller gathering, like a rehearsal dinner or engagement party, ideally within their own portfolio of venues. Although their public response claims they offered “flexible solutions,” what we were actually given were inflated pricing models that didn’t reflect the significantly smaller scope of the new event. For example, staffing costs more than doubled per guest, and rental fees increased on a per-person basis, despite the event size being cut in half. When we asked for clarification, the answers were vague, and the tone shifted from collaborative to dismissive. Ultimately, Hyde House refused to offer any meaningful accommodation and retained the full $6,000 deposit, even though no services were provided, no resources were used, and the date remained unbooked. They portray this as leniency for not charging us more, but keeping the entire deposit for an event they didn’t host is hardly generous. We didn’t cancel to be difficult—we just realized early on that this wasn’t the right space for us. We tried to pivot respectfully and practically, but were met with rigidity rather than empathy. If you’re a couple looking for a venue that will treat you with fairness, flexibility, and integrity, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. A stunning space means nothing without a team that’s truly willing to support you through what should be one of the most joyful experiences of your life.

Love being a member at Hyde House Public Studio! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and it’s been great connecting with other members. The location in the Village is super convenient, with plenty of spots nearby for lunch or coffee. Definitely a great place to work and be part of a creative community

I was there for an event and it was wonderful! Parking was a bit hard to find, being on the back side of the building but the rooms were well laid out, conducive to presentations and had a nice flow. Hope to visit again.
