After 45 years of Christmas gift giving, my husband and I decided to enjoy a nice dinner, just the two of us, as our Christmas gift for each other. Our dinner as expected was 100% spot on! We enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert, and it was well worth the price. Our salad and oyster appetizer were both delicious. Our steaks were cooked to perfection paired with the potato Au gratin and sautéd asparagus suggested by our server, Grace. We ended our feast with carrot cake which we did have to take home because our eyes were clearly larger than our stomachs!! As wonderful as our dinner was, what made our evening so amazing was our server Grace! Grace was so helpful, attentive and personable, she treated us as if we were her only table even though we had noticed she was given extra tables while we were there. She contributed in making our special Christmas dinner truly fantastic!!

Although having developed a burgeoning presence in the Midwest and Florida, Hyde Park Steakhouses are an Ohio originated gem. The Upper Arlington location is the original “grille” in Columbus, and specifically has a stunning atmosphere. The building and its internal decor is both classy and lavish, accented by dimmed ambient lighting that emphasizes the patron. Steak is the namesake, and prepared exceptionally regardless of cut. I requested mine rare, and it was executed perfectly. their cocktails/wine selection is satisfactory, and in addition, for appetizers, the oysters we ordered were fresh and paired with excellent accompaniments, and the escargot authentically prepared and delicious. We also had a table side of Brussels sprouts which were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. We had made a reservation for my Mother’s birthday, and she was treated very well by the staff, and even receiving a birthday card from and a complementary small dessert. Our waiter made us feel extremely special, making the experience definitely worth the price, and unforgettable for my mom. While it is on the pricier side, we feel it was worth every penny.

Always great food. Service has always been great, polite and prompt, can be a little slow on busy nights during dinner rush, as to be expected. Atmosphere noise level seems to depend on which dinning area your seated in. They have some more private rooms we've been sat in, when it is just my husband and I, which are quite and easy to talk in. Then when we take our children (party of 4) we are seated in a larger general area, which has a little more conversations going. My husband loves their ribeye, while I get the new York strip, always delicious. I would also recommend their 5 cheese macaroni and cheese, and Brussel sprouts for sides.

This was our first steakhouse experience since moving to the area and we were fortunate enough to choose Hyde Park for my wife's birthday. Everything was perfect! Our server, Colin, explained the menu to us and made some suggestions. The restaurant, the food, the service, and the ambience were perfect. We had a great experience, and we look forward to returning soon.

Always look forward to eating here, ya know price and everything. Usually it's always stellar too, but this time I was rather disappointed. Nothing was bad, but the steak just really didn't have much flavor at all, even with the added sauces. Carrot cake was pretty spot on though!
