We purchased a mattress from IKEA in April 2023. It came with a 10-year warranty, but by 2025 the mattress had already lost its shape (and for context, my husband and I are not overweight — we are both slim). This year we replaced it and asked an employee at the West Sacramento store what to do with the old one. We were told to contact customer service. I did that a month ago. A case was opened for pickup of the old mattress and a refund to my IKEA account. Since then, I’ve been getting emails telling me to follow up. I’ve called three times, and every time I hear the same thing: “We scheduled a call from the store to arrange pickup.” I never received a single call. At this point, I’m done calling. The mattress has been sitting in my room for a month — I’ll probably just leave it outside. On top of that, we bought a new Valevag mattress on March 28, 2026, and it already doesn’t hold the same shape it had during the first two weeks. Most likely, I’ll have to return it too. But based on how I’ve been ignored so far, I have very little confidence this will actually work. I was also told that if I return the new mattress, I won’t get a refund to my card — only store credit (points). I’m not even sure how that’s supposed to be beneficial. I definitely do NOT recommend buying mattresses from IKEA, even if they advertise “10-year warranty” in big letters. In reality: no proper warranty support, no smooth returns, and no follow-through.

Our family has always loved visiting your IKEA West Sacramento store — it’s been a small tradition for us to start at the restaurant before shopping. However, over the past year we’ve noticed a consistent decline. On several recent visits, the restaurant had very limited or no dessert options, no regular coffee (only decaf), and even no milk. The dining area was also quite unclean, with dirty tables and trash around. Additionally, during our last visit, a staff interaction felt unnecessarily rude. These issues significantly affect the overall experience from the very beginning. We truly enjoy IKEA and hope this feedback helps improve the situation.

It was a good experience. Only neg thing I can say is that there was a lot of empty rooms in display/upstairs area, but other than that it was good. I had a hard to find item and the staff helped me out :)

The Ikea West Sacramento is unusually dirty. From the parking lot to the aisles, the place is full of trash. The bathrooms are nothing short of disgusting. I visited both the women's on the main floor and the unisex stalls on the second floor but wouldn't use any of them. Very surprising. Ikeas are usually very clean.
