We celebrate our friend’s birthday every year @ Il Giardino & are always thrilled with EVERYTHING! It is so beautifully decorated for the holidays & Billy provides awesome entertainment! I had the BEST martini of my life & the food was exceptional! Courtney was a great server and made us feel special. Many thanks for another great experience!

Al Garganio’s is easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Virginia Beach. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is warm and fun, and the service never disappoints. They also have the best focaccia bread seriously, it’s unforgettable and their drinks are excellent. Whether you’re going for a nice dinner, a celebration, or just craving amazing Italian food, it’s always a great time at Al Garganio’s. Consistently delicious, always welcoming, and one of my top spots in Virginia Beach. 🍝🍷

I had a very disappointing experience at this Italian restaurant. Upon entering, the host staff—who seemed like distracted teenagers—were chatting among themselves rather than welcoming guests or assisting with seating, which is far from the standard I would expect from a fine dining establishment. We waited almost ten minutes before anyone brought us a menu. Unlike other Italian restaurants, no bread was served upon being seated. When it eventually arrived after we placed our order, it was dry and completely flavorless. As for the food, it was honestly one of the most disappointing Italian meals I have had across all the states I have visited. The sauce was watery and lacked any authentic Italian flavors. To make matters worse, the prices were extremely high considering the poor quality of both the food and the service. Overall, this restaurant fell short on every level—service, food, and value.

It was a girls trip to Virginia Beach and we need some Italian food. Let me just say…this restaurant did not disappoint. First the bread oil dip was UNBELIEVABLE. So many flavors in this little dish. Next up was the clams casino and carpaccio… the clams were so crispy and fresh tasting. The carpaccio was sliced sooo thin and the arugula was dressed perfect. One of the girls ordered the linguine with clams and it had so many clams and the sauce was so flavorful. The chicken francese was cooked perfect. It doesn’t come with pasta but you can add it for $5. Do it. We were too full for dessert but the options were plentiful and everything is made in house. Can’t wait to go back.

We ordered two margaritas and two pizzas. The drinks and the pizzas were good. They tasted fresh and they were very appetizing. The waitress on the other hand (Lydia Ruth Server Check 11) was as nasty as they come. I have no idea what she has going on but her customer service is wayyyyyyyyy off. She was short, rude and barely had anything to say to us until it was time to hand over our bill. We too are business owners and we strive to provide great customer service. It’s unbelievable that she would behave the way that she did and expect a tip or gratuity. I tipped her 15% but she deserved 0%. I customarily tip 20-25%. I’m so frustrated with people who work in certain industries and behave like this server does. The restaurant is nicely designed and can accommodate large parties. The prices are very reasonable. The drinks are strong! The bartender deserves the tip. Management please consult with your service staff. This server is giving your establishment a bad rap! Hopefully, this $7 gratuity will make her think along with the talk that management will have with her. There was another young lady who brought our drinks and was super pleasant. I intentionally tipped the pleasant young lady $10! She’s who should be serving the tables. I also mentioned to the host (male) that our service was extremely poor due to our server’s attitude. He sort of apologized for her behavior.
