Great selection of equipment - both machines and everything else you’d need for a workout. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Not too busy. Reasonable day passes

I'm also sorry to say that my impression did not meet my expectations based on reviews and photos (from, admittedly, a year ago). On the positive side, the location, for me, is extremely convenient and there is a good selection of equipment. At the times I go, it's not crowded. On the negative side, it's looking very, very tired: benches and stools are very worn; showers with rusty fixtures and no hot water. Equipment is stocked in torn containers and kettlebells and mats are strewn untidily, to the point of constituting an unnecessary hazard. You'll need two towels: one for yourself and another to wipe the equipment down, as paper towels are no longer provided. There's no real changing facility other than a cramped space in the showers or toilets and there aren't lockers at the site where there once were, by the photos, in the past. Every time I have been, it has been hot inside: it feels that economy is trumping comfort when it comes to air conditioning, and this also makes cardiovascular workouts that much harder. I'm certainly going to keep going, and I think the fees are not disproportionate, despite the (literal) rough edges. But it could certainly do with some more care.

If you think this place looks too good to be true, youre absolutely right. Visited here based on the amazing reviews and was thoroughly disappointed. On the way into the gym there is a sign telling you if you leave a positive review you get a free entry next time. I imagine a lot of these reviews got their free pass. Every surface of the gym looked tired, dirty, and paper towels arent provided to wipe down equipment. This gym is an average 3 stars at best. I don't care about my free pass, I want a gym that lives up to its reputation.

Iron Industry was the first gym I decided to make as my regular as it had the equipment, convenience and I liked that i was very close to where I live. I did enjoy the 2 locations and was happy for the first 5/6 months. For the most part all the staff I have interacted were very friendly and I think they got to know who I was. I only have a complaint as I did have an isolated incident with another member there. I perform power lifting and was using the squat racks. I used all the proper bumper plates and used the barbell weights. Another member did not like that I was making so much noise with the weights and barbell racks and took it upon herself to curse me outloud and berate me publicly in front of other members of the gym. A trainer working at the gym did try to protect me and told me to complain about her to the staff of which i did that night. I emailed as I was not happy that I was being publicly humiliated in front of other members. I received no response and so I called the gym as well. I asked that she be told that her behaviour be rep-reminded or warned and if she could apologise to me. I was dissapointed in the reponse I got from the staff member as he stated, yup, you didnt do anything wrong and to leave it at that. They would try to contact her but that was it. I received no further response from the gym and I decided, I'm going to join another gym. My complaint is that these gyms have a responsibility to ensure their members have a safe environment to workout in and should not condone other members of the gym to scream and yell at other members because they're interpretation of what you can and can't do in the gym. They should have reprimanded her or warned her. Great gym, but the management needs to do a better job otherwise this member will continue to berate other members of the gym

Very well stocked for functional training and stretching. Throughout the gym, the floor space has been well utilised and the gym feels open.
