I’ve tried for years to get relief from an injury - tried, chiros, physios, massage, but have never had great success, until I did a series of personal pilates sessions with Melissa Laing. Her understanding of how the body connects, and how different parts affect others is truely comprehensive, and has resulted in a vast improvement to my condition.

I was suffering very painful plantar fasciitis I was limping for 5 months, I tried podiatrist, doctors, massage etc they did not work. I called Melissa Laing Studio, we did a few sessions and I was "Back on my feet" so happy. More specifically the tailoring to my needs. My recommendation, initially book a few private sessions get your body reorganised professionally you'll get more understanding and perspective.

Melissa Laing walks her talk. I've known Melissa for over 20 years during which time I have been both an appreciative client and a colleague. Melissa's understanding of the mind-body connection, anatomy, fascia and movement is exemplary. Melissa has an empathy and compassion for people with a desire to facilitate growth and strength for all to reach their best potential. Melissa has the ability to know how to help you extend past your edges, understands the healing process and also brings humour. She can truly connect, nurture and transform. Working with Melissa is always a treat that helps me to grow and enjoy the process or at the very least see a funny positive side! Melissa Laing has my heart felt recommendation.

The atmosphere at Melissa Liang Pilates is always warm and welcoming, almost like visiting a day spa! The hands-on treatment I receive from the team is fantastic, with exercises that respond specifically to what my body is presenting on the day. I ❤️ MLP!

Having started Pilates in a group class (of more than 30 people) at the local gym, it became obvious to me very quickly that there’s various standards of Pilates instruction. Melissa and her team are all excellent instructors and the small group sizes allow them to provide maximum benefit to individuals. What really impresses me is their ability to modify any exercise to my requirements, whether that be my strengths and weaknesses, working on particular areas for strength or mobility, or just having an off day where things need to be simple and relaxing. This approach has helped me recover (better than expected) from a serious shoulder injury. Not only have I benefited from their expertise but from the genuine care and warmth from all of the staff. And there’s tea (really nice tea)!
