After having my first session with John Morganelli, I feel a lot more prepared to tackle the process of college applications. Before meeting with him and discussing the Blueprint plan, I was really overwhelmed and didn’t know what kind of programs would be right for me. However, after meeting with him, I now have a sense of where to start, as well as knowing some tips on how to approach highly selective schools/programs. He was really down to earth and I felt like he knew me, and his years of experience were very clear. Could not recommend it more, as now I know where to go from here!

I told Katya upfront my son was basically allergic to the SAT reading sections. He’s never loved reading, and English homework has always been a battle. But somehow, she got through to him. She showed him how to treat those passages like puzzles, and it totally changed his mindset. His score went up 120 points, but honestly the real win is that he’s no longer fighting me over verbal homework. He still grumbles, sure — but now he actually does it without a reminder.

We live overseas, so we were a little nervous about doing SAT tutoring over Zoom. But Jason made us feel at ease from the very first session. He used a shared whiteboard to turn algebra into doodles, and came up with these ridiculous mnemonics that actually stuck. (My kid now quotes them at breakfast — “Profit Equilibrium!” and “Box and Whisker!” Four months in, his Math score is up 120 points, and his classroom teacher even emailed to say he’s started volunteering answers. Worth every late-night session.

We took a few private sessions, and our tutor, Sarah, was outstanding, targeting weak SHSAT areas. Their practice test portal was a huge help. The team and CEO Lisa were approachable and ready to discuss our current progress in details. Highly recommend.
