The atmosphere is very upbeat and bright. Our meals were very good including the Cacio e Pepe and Rigatoni with vodka sauce. The only downside was the service. Our server did not stop by our table and we were constantly having to look for her. She also was not overly friendly. Overall we enjoyed our food in a nice environment so I would recommend Jay Luigi and we will be returning.
Sorry, I don’t like this place. Good luck finding parking nearby, because you’ll have to parallel park by the street or pay extra for valet. This place has more of a Chic Atmosphere, and there were definitely younger people that came to eat here. The service was alright, although the consistency in dress code could be off. However, despite all the things I didn’t like, the food was still pretty good. My favorite dish was the Brad tower with the olive oil & herb dip. It definitely has a rich, bold flavor to it. All Pastas are Al Dente style, and mine had some lemon sauce with shrimp in it. I liked the dish overall, but I didn’t like the bits of lemon thrown in there. Overall, it depends on who you are. For me, this place is unfortunately a miss.
Came highly recommended by a friend, I will say the food was great and freshly made but the quantity did not match the cost, nearly $20+ for pasta (meat additions are 8$ extra). I understand the premium is for the ambience and the experience but honestly it just felt like any other restaurant of this type in the area. Their outdoor seating was pretty cool. Special mention for their desserts the tiramisu and the gelato were extremely delicious. In all a great spot to hangout and get some good fresh food.
We enjoyed the bread with all the condiment options. The pasta with seafood was great. French toast. Everything was great except the fried chicken. If you comes from a household where their is a heavy emphasis on flavor then that is why I am stating there is flavor to the chicken other than the breading. When I was cutting into the chicken it was plain and white, seasoning did not penetrate past the breading when it was fried. To people who do not come from a household with a heavy emphasis on flavor than you may say it tasted amazing. I had to use the sauce that came with the hell's chicken to eat it. Loved the birthday cake towards the end. Some restaurants just say happy birthday and that's it. This location acknowledged the recipient and continued to e sure everyone including the birthday girl was taken care for. Will come back. Thank you.
First and foremost the service was SUPERB! Paulina our waitress was everything you could ask for. Courteous, welcoming, kind, and very knowledgeable not only about the menu but the history of the establishment. The food is a portioned well and cooked to perfection. Jay Luigis gives a lighter spin to the traditional heavy Italian foods. You will leave satisfied not just from the food, but atmosphere, and service. Thank you Paulina for making our visit memorable!
