This gym is awesome! If you are starting your journey to jiu jitsu, you have come to the right place. They offer 1 week free class so you can get a feel of the environment. They let you borrow some Gi during the free trial week. The coaches encourage everyone to do their best and are very patient to little ones. My kids love going here. The coaches are knowledgeable and are quick to help those who needs improvement. They also have a location in Lodi and you can train in both gyms under the same membership. You can also purchase your own Gi elsewhere or you can buy it at the gym. Parents are encouraged to watch their kid's progress and there is an area for everyone to sit. There's also a play area if you brought little ones with you. The gym is kept clean in all areas. Visible spills are cleaned up immediately. Overall, this is a family friendly place where discipline, growth and progress are encouraged and nurtured.

JG Academy has been such a positive influence for my son! Since joining, I’ve seen tremendous growth in his discipline and focus — both on and off the mats, which is huge for us. The coaches create such an encouraging and respectful environment that truly brings out the best in each student. Coach Eric, Sterling, and Carlos are absolutely awesome — they’re skilled, patient, and really take the time to teach and connect with every student. Honestly, all of the coaches are great and so attentive to the students. You can tell they all genuinely care and are passionate about the sport and teaching. The classes are well-organized, the facility is always clean, and the overall energy is motivating and family-oriented. I couldn’t be happier with the experience my son has had here. I highly recommend this academy to anyone looking for top-notch Jiu Jitsu training and a community that feels like family! They train skilled winners here and the results show through the students and the wins at comps.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I came to visit today from out of town as a drop-in from 10th Planet Huntsville, Alabama. I try to catch random open mats or classes whenever I can while traveling. I noticed their open mat started at 11 AM on Saturday, which worked out perfectly since I tend to work late. I called ahead to make sure it was okay to come by and asked if it was fine to train no-gi. Whoever answered the phone was super friendly and welcoming. They let me know they mostly train in the gi but that I was more than welcome to come in. Everyone at the gym was very friendly and respectful. A few people even took off their gis to roll no-gi with us, while others stayed in the gi — which I thought was awesome. I brought my 13-year-old daughter with me to train, and everyone was just as welcoming to her as well. Overall, it was a great experience — elite-level coaches, a clean facility, and a really positive vibe. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Thanks again to everyone at JG Academy for the hospitality! 💪

The best jiu jitsu gym in San Joaquin County to train at! Great coaches, clean environment/mats, and everyone is so welcoming on and off the mats. It's not just a gym but a community that wants to see each individual grow and reach there full potential, I highly recommend checking this gym out.

Jg Academy Stockton is hands down one of the best Jiu-Jitsu gyms around! The facility is top-notch, with a large mat space that allows plenty of room for training without feeling crowded. They also have a separate space where kids can play, which is a huge plus for families. The gym is always clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and professional training environment. The atmosphere is incredibly family-friendly, making everyone—beginners and experienced practitioners alike—feel welcome. The instructors are fantastic, always encouraging and knowledgeable, making sure every student gets the attention they need to improve. Their kids’ program is amazing, offering structured, engaging classes that build confidence, discipline, and skill.
