Overall solid Mexican food at reasonable prices. Street tacos are a great way to try a variety of tacos at a reasonable price. Meat was tender and flavorful. Margaritas were okay, a little sweet and batched but decent flavor. Only disappointment were the nachos. A small plate of chips with cold cheese sauce drizzled on top and some veg. Didn’t notice they were only on the happy hour menu until after we ordered. A solid choice for Mexican food.

Johnny Sánchez is hands down one of the best spots in New Orleans for authentic Mexican food with a fun local twist. The flavors are bold, the atmosphere is warm and lively, and everything feels thoughtfully crafted. The tacos are the best in NOLA, perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor. I also tried their brunch, and it was amazing! The churro waffles were a standout, crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and the syrup was so good I could’ve had a whole jar of it. The shrimp and grits brought that perfect New Orleans flair, and the steak tacos were juicy and delicious. If you’re looking for a place that blends authentic Mexican cuisine with that signature New Orleans charm, Johnny Sánchez is a must-visit.

I recommend the All you can eat tacos if they still have it! Within it, you can order pork, chicken, or beef tacos. All you can eat beef tacos are the most savory/flavorful out of the three.

The happy hour is great! 5 dollar margaritas, 3 dollar beers, and 1 dollar tacos. We got some nachos and they were delicious and the tacos were really good as well. Excellent place for happy hour!
