The most amazing açaí bowl in San Diego!! Everything is homemade and incredible. The owner is so nice and accommodating.

Yes, there’s a wait but it’s made very clear before you order. If you’re not up for waiting, don’t order. But honestly these are the best açaí/pitaya bowls in SD, packed with fresh fruit every time! I always bring friends here when they visit. Pro tip: take a nice walk around the bay while you wait!

During my time as a UC San Diego student I have regularly visited Blue Bowl for their açaí bowls. I approached my first experience at Juice Wave with optimistic expectations. The experience failed to match the expectations I had for this establishment. The 40-minute wait was pretty wild. The long wait time for my order was unacceptable since the final product failed to meet my expectations. The ingredients were fresh, sure—but the flavor was pretty average, maybe even a bit underwhelming compared to other spots around San Diego. The portion size was acceptable but the prices were reasonable yet the extended wait time and average taste made the experience less satisfying. The establishment provides an average experience that fails to impress customers, especially with the lack of seating area for customers. Try it for yourself and make your own opinion, but for me it was a one and done experience.

If you're looking for the best acai bowls in San Diego, this is the spot (and just a short walk from the beach)! We ordered the Acai Bowl and The Wave Bowl — both were incredible. The Acai Bowl was topped with strawberries, bananas, granola, and a drizzle of local honey that made every bite perfect. The Wave Bowl was like a tropical vacation in a bowl, with pitaya, coconut & pineapple sorbet, with fruit and granola packed on the bottom of each scoop. Plus, the staff was super friendly, and the beachy vibe made the whole experience even better.

Best acai and dragon fruit bowl in San Diego! The fruit and ingredients were so juicy and fresh! It reminded me of being in Bali! The founder was the lady making my bowl and i could tell she really cares about her work. It was lovely to get a fresh healthy meal and then walk to the beach and enjoy it
